The granting MR functionality on the clan page not working properly is kinda a priority for me. It shows random clan members to assign MR to and I couldn't add MR to the correct members earlier today because of it.

Reclaiming your own clan function is nice but will inevitably cause dramas (CORP has already been hijacked by creator since the update which i guess is his right).

40 clan limit also is a shame and will give older clans an advantage in various ways.

Guess that may be a conscious choice to do that but could be a unfortunate consequence of this update :/

someone suggested that fizzer might charge money or coins in the future to unlock more member slots in clans.

The problem i see is that i can understand the reason you want a limit but 40 just feels too low most clans have 40-80 range (the most competitive ones that I saw) and it just feels like it was taken the lowest possible value

I can understand not wanting huge clans with hundreds of people just dominating others but the community already had a check on that Fizzer.
The clans that let hundreds of players join usually didn't compete with the clans that had recruiting standards every clan had its own unique flavor of recruiting new players that's why 40 feels like a low number.

Isn’t 40 the max in a level? 40 person clan max would make sense for that

yes, that was me, but Fizzer suggest he was going to stick to the 40 player limit for some classified future update(s)

apparently in this special fizzer clan, you can't acces the clan chat via the mobile app. I have left and joined other clans and it works again.

I'm sorry but I can't help feeling the clan pages are now broken.
- New design feels very cluttered and feels it would be much better on an app, than on the desktop... a common theme these days on websites
- No longer player names display in full, have to scroll down to see the "Core Info"... despite so much space left unused (see above)
- Can't at all load up Invite Players page, even though before it was no problem - what happened??

It seems to me open clans have little actual sense. I have seen one of them with more than half mebers beingle single digit levels. Add to it that 40 members limit and it just kills off new clans completely.

Clan is, by defnition, a community. Any new clan features should enhance potential for bulding community which is functional and has potential to better game experience.
This new update, I am afraid, does the exact opposite.

I disagree. Open clans is just an option that can be toggled on and off and it's very nice feature.
Many members who joined TSFH were single digit levels when they were invited. From personal experience a lot less will quit the game if they have a community to work with.

The 40 member limit just forces the management to shuffle out the inactives (or as we like to call them "undesirables") faster than it used to be the norm. The opening clan option at the same time makes recruitment less time consuming.

It's going in the right direction, for sure. There's just so many steps still that have to be taken.

As Kratt said, "opening" a clan is optional, and an established clan would likely never need to do this. It's really only starting clans that want "just anyone" to join, and then later manage those decisions as good/bad (not active members, not good fit for the clan, etc). It's really just a way for new clans (or dead clans that are rebuilding) to get some members to get going.

For example TSFH, Corp, TLA, 101st, Master, Lynx, etc, will never be in the Open list. No need for it, no desire for it. Already established, have >40 members (actually Master & Lynx don't but see next point), and even if they did for some reason drop below 40, there's no desire to add just any next interested player, and would rather do screening of applicants to confirm good fit for the clan.

I noticed that opening a clan is optional, and have to admit that you guys have a point. Kratt, if you say total newbies are not big problem, I believe you. I don't have experience with accepting totally new players to clan, it was not the case in any clan I was member of and I don't do it in my own one as well. So, probably, I see situation as worse than it actually is :)

I feel like the invite players function is a little overblown. It shows all players, even those already in clans. I have approximately 3200 on my friends list after the bulk remove tool on players absent for 20 days or more and there is a huge lag. I'd rather there not be a list and you type in who you're looking for. The list before this one just had players not currently in clans. It did not lag for me. This current version takes 5 minutes to load on my phone and like 2 minutes on my computer.

If I'm not mistaken, you can't invite at all until the Friends List loads. Even if you're not inviting from your Friends List. So for some players with ultra-large friends lists... clan inviting is just broken.

Well Fizzer wanted people to reduce the size of their friendslist, so I guess this is one of the reasons why....

I am with Joey here, the friends list load is painfully slow and has no real function, when search box is available.

And if Fizzer wants people to trim their friends lists, he should offer more tools for that. Like removal according to boot percentage, number of mutual games played or player level. Writing just from the top of my head, there could be more to think about for sure.
