It looks like Division D will be 3-4 clans only? There's 2 unclaimed C slots (Hydra, Varangian Guard), 3 clans from CL12 quitting, and 4/9 of the D slot sign-ups failed to submit a roster and lineup on time.

On one hand, a relief since having 9 D clans (and no lapsed C slots) would've been its own challenge. But at 24 clans, seems like this will be the smallest Clan League season in a while, perhaps since the introduction of Division D.

Just out of curiosity, here's the # of participating clans in each clan league season:

1: 10 clans
2: 20 clans
3: 15 clans - 7 in A, 8 in B
4: 24 clans - 7 in A, 6 in B, 5 in C1, 6 in C2
5: 21 clans - 7 in A, 7 in B, 7 in C
6: 26 clans - 7 in A, 6 in B, 6 in C, 7 in D
7: 35 clans - 7 in A, 7 in B, 7 in C, 7 in D1, 7 in D2
8: 34 clans - 7 in A, 7 in B, 6 in C, 7 in D, 7 in E
9: 32 clans - 7 in A, 7 in B, 6 in C, 6 in D1, 6 in D2 (Q1/Q2/Q3 fed into C/D1/D2)
10: 32 clans - 7 in A, 6 in B, 6 in C, 6 in D, 7 in E (Q1/Q2/Q3 fed into C/D/E)
11: 28 clans - 7 in A, 7 in B, 6 in C, 3 in D (Q1/Q2 began with 7 each)

So it looks like CL13 is still larger than back half of CL11. But on the whole CL13 will be the smallest CL since CL5.

On the whole, CL seems to have shrank considerably after peaking in CL7 and never gotten back to the same participation numbers after CL10. I blame Cowboy.

Playing a CL with 5 clans/div is still playable, if you move PE and TLA to Div C, you're left with 3 clans in Div D, which is unplayable.

24 clans could fill 3x8 Divisions, but that would prob mess with a bunch of things as well.

I guess we will just have to wait and see what the panel comes up with...

3 in D has been done in the past (CL11). Was that considered a bad experience?

We used a different system that CL so it was only like that for half the games... (Qualifiers and then split into divisions C and D so we actually started with 28 for the 1st half of the season if I remember correctly)

we posted a lineup days ago and i didnt know you live in europe. i sent the lineup and roster before august 30th

i see this unfair, but since im not in charge, i will respect your decision.
