Several clan discussions and a curiosity over if the name similarity with COD: Warzone impacted account creation rates made me wonder how everyone first learned about Warzone. Was it pure coincidence? Was it a friend? Did you actively search for a game that was like risk?

I learned about it from the legacy game on Kongregate, of all places. I had been looking for something like this for a while after picking up M2TW, and was excited about the variety, (initially) the community levels, and community.

I’m sure that there have been other forum posts like this before, but I haven’t seen one recently and with the Quarantine increasing user activity, I thought it might be a good time to ask.

Once upon a time, I stumbled on Warlight on Kongregate a year ago. I then saw a blue link about something I didn't understand, so I clicked it. "Wtf is Warzone?!" I said when it redirected me to the Warzone Wiki. Me, confused as hell, decided to search it up on Google. And there it was, just waiting for me to make an account.

[soviet union] The Red Army - you might know him -showed me this game in middle school. Over the years I've found something in this game to satisfy my creative niche, whether it be diplomacy games, standard games, or mapmaking.

I merely googled "Risk Online" to find Warzone! It's been a crazy adventure since then.

@Vernal I felt the same way. WZ really scratches that creative & strategic itch that I haven’t really found in any other game.

Last January, I was wandering in the Strategy section of Google Play Games and found this. I first started to play on the app but now I use the website the most, because it has better user experience than the app.

@Mista Sista me too! No other game (that I've played) is like WZ.

Cursona, myself, and another friend were searching for something to play while we were all at separate colleges in our freshman year. We video chatted using google hangouts, and found the vertical of the game that existed in that.

YEAR: 2016; DATE: UNKNOWN

A small 11 year old boy hops in the chair next to the family computer one evening, looking to play some flash games. He logs on to a now forgotten flash game site (it was NOT Kongregate) and looks for games to play. One catches his eye, “Warlight.” He begins to try the game out and gets through a few levels before wondering, “Is there an app for this game?” Sure enough, when he gets to the App Store he finds the game and downloads it. He plays some of the single player campaign, but gets bored of the game in a while and stops.

YEAR: 2017; DATE: UNKNOWN

The boy has still not deleted the app off of his phone, but has not played it in months. On this particular boring afternoon, he decides to give it a whirl again, but is soon stopped because he accidentally sends his phone through the washing machine.

YEAR: 2018; DATE: DECEMBER 9TH

The boy has finally retrieved his phone from the washing machine, and can start playing WZ again. He plays those same single player campaign levels that he has lost progress on until he discovers something. It’s something that would make him stay for longer without getting bored. There was a multiplayer option. The boy was thrown into the magic of the various diplo games and 1v1s, the team games and the tournaments, the games brought into existence by different ideas and contrasting clans! The boy now grew determined to make it to level 47 so that he could leave his mark on the game, and that the magic of multiplayer games could be creatively spun into innovation.

I learned about it around late 2011 or very early 2012 playing it on some flash game website and then after a few weeks I found the official warlight website and made an account.

I was once a member in Conquer club. I did not like the community that much (so many boots at the time). So i searched for other online risk games. Well, Warlight at the time was it, being far superior. ;)

Six years ago I was in still in high school and one day people were playing a super entertaining risk game online. It beat whatever we were supposed to be doing so I brought even more enthusiasm to the fray and was instantly hooked. Rediscovered this gem of a game in March or February. But I don't recall anything about a warzone

I was browsing games on y8.com, and found Warlight. Of course, I mean Warlight as it is now, just a singleplayer online game. On it I enjoyed the game and found a link to the multiplayer game site warzone.com. Later I followed that link to here, played a few more singleplayer levels, then set up an account.
