nobody was putting her in office to upend and fix the system. she was going to be a continuation of obama.

now you can criticize that but you're going to have to find a different reason, one that makes logical and factual sense.

that doesn't mean i will ignore his obvious flaws and the obvious intellectual deficiencies of anybody who wanted him to be president.

You could wipe out all the counties that voted for Trump and it wouldn't have an effect on our global ranking as an economy. Over 2,600 (out of 3,141) American counties voted Trump- put them together, and you barely scrape together a third of our national economy. The less-than-500 counties that swung Clinton comprise 64% of our economic output. This is the biggest disparity we've seen in any modern presidential election- the places that drive our country's economic growth have a very different idea of how to keep it going than do the places holding us back and dragging us down.

It's the GOP narrative of leeches and welfare queens, except turned on their own party.

The people who backed Trump- especially the ones you see on Warlight- are not the best and brightest in our society. You don't have to keep proving that over and over again. Just wait and watch; Trump voters will likely be hurt much, much more by their own stupidity than you or I.

So don't waste your time here. We're not the ones with little to no economic future to look forward to.

1610 was the best year of my life.

I voted Obama. stop your exaggerating and stop your exacerbating. I don't want to excruciate you, but maybe I'll have to exorciate you.

knyte just demonstrated the exact elitism and arrogance that caused Trump's election. Despite all the preaching about tolerance and helping the less fortunate, knyte and others of his stripe have nothing but disdain for those they deem as beneath them.

I bet it must be so easy to sit in your little hightower, spouting high and mighty nonsense, writing off all who think differently than you as illiterate peasants. But guess what? Your cities, your banks, your vaunted GDP, it's nothing without the rural areas you so despise. Sure, you could wipe us off the map and not see an immediate loss in capital, but you'd starve to death by the year's end.

I used to respect you, knyte. But it's clear all your talk about putting partisanship behind, seeing new viewpoints, and treating everyone with respect was just hypocrical talk. Look in the mirror sometime. YOU are the reason this country is so divided. YOU are the reason Trump got elected. YOU and those of like attitude, are the problem.

If I had the means to do so, I would take you up on that bet :) But on the other hand, y'all are gonna die off sooner or later anyway, so I guess we can wait and see. Let's be real- every ability you pride yourselves in having, I can automate (a lot more of them I can do personally than you'd realize).

We had better policy on the table for all of America. Y'all rejected it in an attempt to screw the rest of us over.

You're right- I have no empathy for you, not now and never again. Hell, I'm pretty damn well-insulated from your problems. I'm living in the kind of America that can pretend your problems don't exist if we don't want to; caring about y'all was a courtesy, a favor we did because we felt sorry for your pathetic asses- but I don't anymore, and neither do a lot of us.

So now I just get to watch and laugh with zero remorse as rural Americans get economically wiped out. I don't give a damn if y'all hate the rest of us- bad mouth us all you want, but we're the ones paying for that turkey you just put on the table. Among all your talk of self-reliance and individualism and wealth coming from hard work, you forgot one little thing: you're Eddie Willers, and we're John Galt.

Yeah, no shit that NYC + LA have an economic output higher than most red states. Is this some kind of meaningful statement?

Maybe if you added the total wealth of the middle-class Trump voters, and the lower-class Clinton voters, you'd have something more equal.

Now I live about 15 miles from you, so I don't think calling me a rural American is appropriate, but I think we should just wait and see what Trump does. You should probably be hoping that he is successful and not wish for a failure in the means of "I told you so". I'm as scared as you are, the fate of Liberty and Conservatism is reliant on Trump.

Not sure if Knyte is ignorant or just lying, but individuals with higher income have voted GOP for as long as incomes have been measured in exit polls. This election is no exception.

Knyte, who do you think will fight for your imperial wars that you advocate without rural Americans? Only 14% of recruits come from cities. Do you think you'll sustain your empire without rural Americans, let alone march on whatever pisses you off?

Also gotta love Knytes economic narrative. The policies he advocated for chased manufacturing out of the US, crushing small towns across the US that couldn't sustain themselves without it. Now he's using their poverty as reasoning for ignoring them.

Knyte thinks that him and a bunch of elitist liberals will be all that's left; Tsh the Alt Right and Libertarian movements are growing. One based on the internet and one that's been growing quite well for a while internationally; both who are not elitist scum in a system based on not being elitist scum.
