I'm pretty suprised that that version of 2v2 Final Earth was chosen....

I guess the clans all picked Medium Earth and then all picked something different so 2v2 Final Earth only got 1 vote.

Turtles gave it their highest vote....

This is definitely a flaw in the template voting... we put final earth very high too but the vote on final earth was a 'package' of 3 templates. So in the package there was a second vote for which template of final earth was preferred. We as GG and my guess same for turtles, put final earth high to get the 2vs2 ladder template voted in. Putting it as high as possible was the only chance to get it voted in since not many people like it. So mostly due to GG and Turtles final earth made it in. Since the other clans had a different preference in the 'package' there is now a template voted in that nobody really wanted...

Yea this template is very bad... As I see stuff, every clan but GG/Turtles voted strategically against the ladder template because they knew they didn't have good enough players to make a competition on it. Maybe these other clans even colluded to be certain the ladder template wouldn't be chosen.

I tested the template today, and seriously, idk how I'm gonna be able to play 6 more games on it... I'm well ranked on the ladder atm and I think it would've been good in a personal/selfish level to play the ladder template for my clan. But I won't complain about that, but rather the fact that a template so bad could be chosen for the CL, it's seriously a fuck up.

If my thought about the template choosing process is right, then shame on everyone that made this decision. Because you're not only affecting the results in your division, but on every other division below and making the CL really less apealing. Maybe that rule where only clans in A voted wasn't great after all huh?


But maybe I'm wrong, I'd love to see Chris publishing the votes so we can know how the voting process worked out.

We need official template links.

There's too much confusion right now,on move order on certain templates, wheather guiroma is 0 or 16%, people confusing 2v2 4x3 0WR Final Earth with 2v2 ladder template etc etc.

I can find my way around TG, thanks. I think I have understood the list of templates properly. But not every point of contact will be so involved or have time to search through thread.

Therefore I think templates should be double checked and linked, to avoid any misunderstandings.

For example, it's 16% Guiroma in that list you linked, the one in this thread. And the template linked is 16%SR. Yet the panel voted 0%SR.

yea I k, it's so confusing... Even though it's not a huge difference; 16% luck doesn't affect much the game, only when huge stacks are involved.

it was said that any 16% luck would be changed to 0% luck unless the template was specifically meant to be played that way. Guiroma is meant to be played 0% SR and was played that way last season, and almost every iteration of CL we've had. The original template for Guiroma, however, is 16% SR. Maybe 1 or 2 templates were added before we voted by the panel in order to make sure no popular distribution was left unvoted for? I'm pretty sure they were. I know for a fact the GL 3v3 and FE 2v2 that made it in are popular templates on those maps.

I doubt that with final earth, though the template isnt that bad. Though with WR I feel it could benefit with a rf card? I know the templates have been voted for but I think it would make it a much better template.

Is great lakes 3x5 or 4x5 wr? I've seen different things.
