Hm... there already is a browser game calling itself "Warzone 2100". I don't know much about this stuff but atleast according to german law this should be a difficult constelation even without the other guys having that name registered officially.

What are Mercer's thoughts on this or is he just your alt?

Also once someone has bought a certain percentage of the shares in a company don't they HAVE to identify themselves? How much does your sponsor own and who is it? If we knew who it is and what we might become we might be more open to this idea....

I like the new name. If we say the name, "Warzone.com" there will be no question that bringing in new players will be much easier. Existing players may not like it because they are used to the old name. I get that changing is hard to do.

It's not just because we're used to the old name. The new one is just not as good...

I second Jotaro Kujo. If Fizzer wants to change the name, at least not to WarZone ^^

I think some of the synonyms for 'zone' are preferable.

WarArea, WarSector, WarSection, WarBelt, WarStretch, WarRegion, WarTerritory, WarDistrict, WarQuarter, WarPrecinct, WarLocality, WarNeighborhood, WarProvince...

Just imagine it. "WarQuarter". Now that is a game I would play.

Awesome points have been made already. I'll just add that there is no reason NOT to continue with WarLight. Please, Fizzer, I beg you to reconsider :(

No name change for the WarLighters. Like I said, the name works well. If nothing else we will be a tribute to the old game :)

This is roughly made, beace I did it in paint and it is more idea than suggestion, if anybody likes it and is capable of improving it, you are welcome to do it.

My point of view: Warlight was a unique naming. Warzone (or sth pretty similar aka warzone 2100) is already used for other games.
If you want to change the name because it doesn't fit anymore, think of something unique please :/
It's way easier to make friends find the correct "Warlight"-Game instead of the correct "Warzone" game, way too easy to mix it up.

Dear Fizzer,

- I really welcomed Coins games, because I understood the need for you to make money in order to keep sustaining and supporting this game.
- I welcomed the new Dashboard as an excellent move in the right direction (although implemented not in a very suitable manner).
- I agree with the prospect of a Logo change.
- I might support a Name change, if you really think this would be beneficial for the game.

But the thing that horrifies me the most is how you completely sideline the community. Could not make a poll about the name change so that some domain name holders would drive the price up? I can give a list of over 20 respectable and active WL community members that could have secretly helped with ideas about a proper name.

I am not saying that you should always follow your flock, but including the community into decision making is crucial. Because, when you think of it, this game would become an ordinary "click-here-to-play-for-money" game without and active and involved community.

I understand that these decisions are probably irreversible, but please give a bigger say to WL community members beforehand in the future.
