Could you explain the Kharkiv-Kiev boundary? In your map, contrary to Troll's, they seem to be touching. This is accurate with respect to the real-life map. Only, there is now no connection between them.

Good catch, the connection is made. I might redraw that border to better show the connection.

Updated Russian names to include Oblast, Republic, or Autonomous Okrug where appropriate. Updated Polish names. Updated a Portuguese name. Updated Slovakian names. Updated Spanish names. Updated Italian names

I'm assuming you aim to use the English names when available and Native otherwise, with appropriate spelling (e.g. Netherlands instead of Nederland), so I won't correct the anglicized territory name versions

Malopolska -> Małopolska
Castila La Mancha -> Castilla-La Mancha
Catalon Countries -> Catalan Countries (Catalonia is the region, the adjective is "Catalan")
Midjytlland -> Midtjylland
Arkangelsk Oblast -> Arkhangelsk Oblast
Walachia -> Wallachia

You can also do Istanbul -> İstanbul and Aydin -> Aydın (dotted and dotless i are different letters in Turkish)

Scanned the whole map and that was all I could see. You seem to have corrected quite a few I saw before already prior to me getting a chance to point them out :)

With that I have gone through every single territory. I'm still pending on decision regarding renaming Ireland territories again, I don't like what I have right now but am struggling to come up with anything better. I'll wait to see what Platinum comes back with since I asked him about it.

It is a bit an odd combination of names now. It is quite weird to have Nederland and France. Are all bonus names English and the Territory names native? For me, it would make more sense to make all countries have the English name (mostly Benelux, Balkan Bonuses and Baltic states) and all divisions within a country in their native tongue. Republic of Macedonia and Republic of Moldova seem outliers in what I perceive to be your pattern.

It is weird that Russia has Oblast names for their territories while Ukraine has cities indicating bonuses.

Is there a reason why Kaliningrad is not named Kaliningrad Oblast?

Austria names also seem a bit random. Why is Vienna used and not the German Wien? Upper Austria should be translated too.

Good points. I can make standalone country names back to English even if they're incorporated in a bonus.

I will update Ukraine to use region names and fix the Czech Republic names that I missed.

I just recently fixed all of the weird shadow breaks, and updated some of the lines denoting sea crossings.

Austria, Czech Republic, Balkans, Benelux, and Ukraine have updated territory names now.

It does seem quite arbitrary with the oblasts and republics and all that sometimes, since those are administrative regions. You also put "Republic of Lithuania" but "Estonia". Imo, just Lithuania is enough, and I would personally get rid of the oblast part and just put the city name, since the oblasts are named after cities anyway. Choosing the administrative name makes more sense if it's different from the city name.

Also, I'd rather just have "Crimea" as the territory name due to its contentious status, unassuming and neutral

@waffle Regarding Crimea, the original map was made in 2009, so I'm pretty confident this was the name for Crimea at that time.

Uhhh.. I could remove the oblast part but it just seems better than naming it the city due to the territory not just being the city, but its entire area. Same thing with republics and such, the most populated city may be the same name used but I think it's better to call it by a more regional name. Republic of Lithuania is the official name in English, so I'd rather use that.

Ireland names and borders have been adjusted after talking with Platinum, the border adjustment does not affect connections at all, but makes the territories more closely fit the 4 provinces of Ireland. Northern Ireland's border remains, but it has been renamed to Ulaidh.

Added distributions for EU and NATO. Open to more distributions.

I'm pretty much done at this point. The cosmetics are as good as it gets. I expanded Luxembourg and Lisbon a little bit more to show army numbers better but it'll never be perfect unfortunately. I think I'm happy with the names... I will probably wait a week before I release it just to sit back and make sure everything is good.
