As a clan leader of Outlaws, I feel it's best for the sake of the league that Outlaws continue their participation because Community comes first.

I'll defend the league from the MH braggers and send them back to Division B.

@LND - Believe 54 is the level needed for biomes, which is the highest level for any template.

Question: I see no deadline for sign-ups.

There's always been this thought where you want to determine your lineup based on clans in your division. There are two main arguments against this:
1) It rarely happens, if ever. I've played for multiple clans, in multiple divisions and I've never seen someone even propose a change in roster or lineup because of a certain clan being in their division or them dropping out. If some clan happens to approach their division in this way at all, it can be discarded; it has no impact on the league.
2) If you need to change your lineup based on which changes happen within your division, you might be better off trying to recruit better players to increase your odds of scoring higher. Pro-tip: it's more efficient.

The deadline for sign-ups will remain August 30. The deadline for rosters and lineups will also remain August 30. If a clan fails to submit any of those before the deadline, it's bad luck.

I actually wanted to implicitly also (mainly) refer to the clans that themselves may end up in a higher division, I assume I did not make that clear. For them, the impact is quite large.


I do think you overlook some complexity though:

Stats did it, in the qualifiers in their first season in the league, in the form of substitutions after the qualifiers were drawn. (CL9)
It was a brilliant move that ended up paying off massively when they promoted that season.

Full story: that season, there were 3 qualifiers, the top 2 of each qualifier was gathered in C. One qualifier, including Stats, Apprentice and 101st was a lot stronger than the others however. Stats reacted by immediately adding a slot for their stronger players in the Q (at the cost of a slot in C), and finished 2nd in their qualifier with less than a single game difference between them and the 3rd team. An average showing in C was enough to promote thanks to dropouts from B the next season.

Similarly, a clan could motivate its better players to play more slots when they are in a higher division (has certainly been the case for Stats before), or in fact recruit better players when they are in a higher division. I actually did get the question "In which division will you play" several times when recruiting players. (Bad, but relevant example: Nauz in CL11) And it happened to us twice already that we promoted due to dropouts (CL9->CL10 & CL10->CL11, it won't happen this season) So I respectfully disagree that it wouldn't matter, because I do know for a fact that it does matter quite a lot.

And since you have an account in Stats yourself, you are effectively in a clan for which it matters as well. ;-)

That's actually true. Let's do it like this. Once the highest division has completely signed up (division A), I'll post it on the forums. This way, nobody in division B can promote to A by dropouts. Once the whole of division B signs up after that, I'll post it to the forums as well, etc. That's about as much as I can do. If you have any better suggestions, feel free to let me know.

And since you have an account in Stats yourself, you are effectively in a clan for which it matters as well. ;-)

Actually, no template requires a level as high as 54.
For China you need 52, for Greece 51 (and neither is played this season). Level 50 suffices for everything else :)

I may be in over my head here, but appears to me that while this could certainly be the case in a CL with qualifiers, in the current system I'm not sure why this is an issue - wouldn't everyone be playing their top squad regardless of which division they are in? (I mean, some clans might not necessarily need their top squad to win their division, but I would've thought that it's a bit of a risk to take with no real benefits?)
In short, I can't see any reasons under the current system (with no qualifiers) for a change of lineup based on what division you're playing in. But I might be wrong?

Okay, that means that as of now, all clans playing in division A have signed up (despite platinum's promises). Any clan that is in division B should not have to worry anymore that they end up in another division.
