We poached Turbo 2017 from USW seemingly (-> check his profile)

@LF USW clan was dead, after the new shift of clan leader the clan went fully inactive and i was looking for a new clan to join which was actually active. As such i looked through all clan pages and sent message to Hawks recruiter. Also some of the reason i did find a new clan was due Riverstyxie suggested joining an active clan to get better at 1v1 play. I had left the clan USW way before i joined Hawks(+ i did not play anymore than one ending game with USW vs VIW i think, on 40 Africans).

Mylos picks:
- Great first turn bonus combo.
- Also love his picks 3+4. Picking France over the Netherlands is the right move.
- Pick 5 great for taking out the Russia first turn bonus.

Petes picks:
- Mylo getting his Russia pick worked like a charm with Pete having a 3 pick combo there.
- Great map coverage in conjunction with Mylos picks.

FCCs picks:
- They decide to mirror pick. Their mirror fails and they lose the game. Each and every combo of the FCC team gets screwed with. So what happened?
- At first glance their mirror makes sense with 1 Ireland and then 2+3 the Benelux combo. This could ensure that the player moving first gets Ireland and the player moving second gets the combo. However Mylo steals Ireland which has not only the effect of them losing the apparent best pick in the game but also them splitting their 2+3 Benelux combo. I believe this outcome shows why you shouldn't mirror pick on the map. I understand if you want to mirror a super dominant pick as your number 1 but apart from that mirroring seems to be just plain wrong.

Pete taking Hungary right infront of his opponents nose adds a special touch to the game. The M'Hunters team doesn't receive a gg.

Norman your analysis is terrible, we only lost because of me forgetting to put the key Norway attack on turn 2 as last order. If we had done that the game is over as Mylo is quickly overwhelmed by our income and then it becomes a 2v1. As for mirror picking on szeurope imo it is a perfectly fine strategy. Reminder that MH's only loss was played real time and lasted a mere 14 minutes long after 2 hours for picks.

I saw that careless mistake however I'm not interested in the gameplay. Even if it was true that you would have won then, a victory depending on the opponent not sniping you with a 4v2 attack or a later 3v2 move doesn't look very convincing to me. Also this wasn't even supposed to be an in depth analysis of the whole picking stage, else I would have mentioned stuff like you prefering Northwestern Russia over Western Russia.

I don't care that much whether a game was won or lost when I look over it. In the game against Mylo you double picked Ireland and we single picked it. This gave you a 66% chance of your team getting the bonus and if this was the case your team also wouldn't have had their combos screwed. The sole benefit of mirroring is that push the opponent out of a certain area. On 3v3 Europe you need to mirror else you risk getting pushed out of the islands and after the islands there usually is a clear hierarchy of spots you want to have.

The difference between the game you posted and the game against Mylo seems obvious to me:
- In the game agaisnt Mylo you getting the Ireland pick would only be a minor inconvenience for us since we had Britain basically neutralizing your pick. Ireland was neither for you nor for us a must have.
- In the game you posted your mirrored first pick took out 4 of our picks.

We actually have a 75% chance of getting Ireland, there are 4 players in the game each with a 25% chance of picking first. The only way you get Ireland is if Mylo picks first, if Pete, Faler or I got first pick we get Ireland.

Norman it might interest you to know that there are 3 other possible distributions for this game all of which result in Mylo being stuck on base income for the entire game. I think what happened here is you guys lucked out and got the one scenario in which Mylo could have some impact on the game. congrats champ!!!.
