How is it such an awful thing to say i don't care if masters cheated cl 9? I'm pretty certain others did exactly the same without proof and i wasn't even very active when someone of the so called ''ethics panel'' approached me to have a talk nobody of us two wanted.

Also how does the short stalling time justify anything? He stalled as long as needed so the result stays the same especially with ollie having the need of a vacation anyways. Of course stalling for long is worse but it doesn't justify anything

My point was more that you got to be considerate before you throw the first stone, and if you are so considerate then you should also consider the way the message is conveyed, and do your best to maintain that the future messages sent should be in similar fashion.

When I was called out for stalling, which I both apologized for, explained why and how it happened (and also openly regret doing), it became pretty apparent that the motivation was more of a personal vendetta against lynx and 101st, not so much about my stalling.

However, like INRT, another outlaw member, did with alexclusive here, the whole post derailed into a personal attack where the goal wasnt to talk about stalling and make the person understand it was a bad thing. The goal was to come with as many accusations as possible, or so it seemed (correct me if Im wrong).

When you call someone out for stalling you DO take the higher moral ground, live up to it. And when you have made your point, and the person you called out has spoken his mind about it then leave it be.

Doesn't seem like that was the intended goal to me. But when someone starts defending himself against the accusations and his reasoning is something easy to dismiss, the discussion will turn heated.

If telling someone to not cheat is taking the moral high ground, then i don't know what to do anymore. I thought it was just common sense; how wrong i am. When you have made your point and the person you called out comes with a weak excuse, why let it be?

You don't have to care about cheating in clan league, and I don't have to complain about things that are not actually against the rules, but you dislike. ;)

Force finish based on income and armies like Tbest proposed looks like a way to go, but a difference of 5 or 20% is waaay too low, I've seen (and made) bigger comebacks than that. 10 and 50% are minimum imo.

Right. 20% with bad position leads to good comebacks and 50% is safer to say the loser stalls the game. If possible we can find some examples for this (from all ladders).

Better yet, implement a program to give a prediction if a player will win or lose. Than when the program is something like 95% confident a player will lose it can give a flag.

Too difficult to make predictions and go by that. Sometimes bad players play good and good players play bad.

I also think that even 100% more income is too less to autofinish; for example, in a beginners game, the situation may appear that a player finishes a bonus of 5 in two turns while his opponent eats up his other two picks (MME). In this scenario, player B would have a game-deciding advantage, but player A would win due to autofinish.

hmmm, these cases are rare-but yes, position and map control also needs to be taken while taking % of income.

Why not change it so you have to finish 5 games at 1st place, or something similar to get the trophy?

No. Writing in game chat asking them to speed up solves some cases too. Other cases staller doesn't bother someone stalling them.

Calling someone out for stalling isn't taking the higher ground, it is enforcing sportsmanship. Don't be a child... And play with some maturity.

edit: i tried to avoid accusing anyone on this thread to prevent confrontation and there are TONS of people that have staleld in the past, but may not stall in the future. that is the goal, to making staling a taboo in this culture

I've called out other stallers that aren't in 101st/Lynx, I've apologised for making it seem like I have a personal vendetta but the fact is I don't. Though it's disappointing to see a major clan like Lynx openly encouraging Stalling and as a concerned community member, I'm going to bring it up to the focus since it's an important context.

And the simple fact is all the recent stalling cases have been coming from 101st/Lynx, that's not me making shit up against you guys, That's just simply the case at this time. Since I'm the only player making these stalling threads, it's always gonna give the impression I have a personal grudge against Lynx (which I don't really).

I don't tell anyone to stall, nor does anyone else. I just think the constant witch hunts and virtue signaling would stop.
So someone stalls a turn for something they've worked their ass off to achieve? I don't see the need to publicly shame them.
