WTF??? Texas approved a good law respecting human liberty to choose? Damnit, who am I gonna make fun off now? If Texas keep passing those I will lose a prime source of jokes.

I agree with paugers. Just because weed is natural doesn't make it better than crack. It doesn't do what crack does, but it's still essentially a drug, plant or not. And the best life to live is a drug-free lifestyle. If it were possible to get over a sickness without penicillin or similar, then I'd take that path over the similar. It can be good drugs, it can be bad, it can be neutral, it's still a drug.

It's often made fun of, but I find there is truth in "drugs are bad mmkay".

But if it was a choice between legalizing cocaine or weed, I'd take weed.

I think we should let people have drugs, but tax the fuck out of them (like 200%) and put anyone found smuggling them in jail for life, or kill them.

It is not governments matter what i drink, smoke, eat, etc.

Yeah I think the cannabis users are really harming society. Especially when I typically see things like peer pressure into smoking cigarettes and couples smoking together (after sex?)

Cocaine, Heroine, Meth, whatever are all manufactured to make you feel good, and they do, but they eventually kill you.

Cannabis also has other uses, such as:

Paper
Cloth
Resin
Providing Calories
Rope
Wax
Pulp
Fuel

And it's very efficient:

1 Acre of Hemp produces the same amount of paper as 2-4 Acres of Trees
Requires no chemicals (pesticides, herbicides, etc)
Quality is higher
Easier Recycled
Ready to harvest 120 days after growth

Good point benji, the overall issue is cigarettes, the largest issue by far.

Cigarettes are a cancer of society, no pun intended. Unfortunately, smoking tobacco and all the crap you mix with it to get a cigarette has been culturally ingrained into society. I don't see them going anywhere.

And it isn't about deaths anyway. Potheads are incredibly stupid (I speak from experience), they don't care about anything; they do nothing but think about pot. Smokers may kill themselves, but at least they can function in society.

It's true. No death from overdosing on cannabis has ever been reported. It is a gateway drug, however.

But people still get cancer from it.
