sorry to break it to you, but you're not.

Yeah, I know this is a lie. That is why I wrote ish :D (I am being serious and not sarcastic. No, like I am actually serious.) But my point still stands. I am vastly underpriced right now. (TBH, I might be a top 10 player, but it is way to early to call it. My rating is not stable, and all victories are ageinst relative weak players, compered to the top 10 ladder.)


@ps, Out of curiosity, how did you reach that conclusion? I mean, we have no common games, so you must secretly be stalking me? I assume you are the kind of person that don't make a statement based on assumptions alone. Especially, I expect you would not blantely ignore the current standings on the ladder without a reason.

i've seen games of you vs other people, you make more mistakes then you should to be considered top 10. you could always have improved a lot suddenly, but i somehow doubt it. and as you mentioned yourself, your current ladder rating despite an impressive winning streak is still highly inflated by lack of games against high skilled players.

And yeah, Spuds is just dominating Division A so congrats on the win. Second and third place aren't even close. Ventus is pulling away as well in Division B but they can still be caught though the odds may be diminishing.

The managers of Division A are in an interesting predicament. They wont have a lot of money to acquire many more players and with the number of boots they can only hope the inactive players drop out of manager's league to free up some money for their replacements. But putting a player that is booted 5+ times on their lineup next season would be a bad idea. So there may be fewer high quality players in Division A next season, though hopefully that means the number of boots will drop.

TBest's point holds true independent of his skills.

If a player is initially rated at lets say 5 or 10, it would take a minimum of 6 or 4 seasons respectively (with a trade after every season with a 150% increase) for that player to reach a value of 50. This decreases dynamics of the game and decrease the in-between season action I think.

The same in the opposite way for players that were initially priced high but underperformed or were booted a lot. I don't think their value should stay high. It would be a risk for a new manager to contract such a player.

What would speak against a free market to determine player's value?
I think that would be more interesting for both players (aim to get a good contract in a nice team) and managers (try to pick-up players that are skillfull, reliable and cheap).. And it would make the manager part of the league probably a bit more interesting doing justice to its name. I think input from the organizing team and the 12 managers would be informative.

I am for free market here but also for obeying the rules which are already stated. We need considerably long vacatio legis. Probably we shouldn't change the rules till the next season.

I'm also not to fond of some of certain aspects of TBest's latest ladder games (as I have told him already) but then again I have also "stalked" quite some of your streams calling very sound picks out as being bad.

Norman: on my streams i just say what i think at the time comparing to what i would do on first analysis, if it's "wrong" or not thought through properly hopefuly the other commentators will challenge me about it and have a little discussion about it. for the record i don't consider myself top 10 either. i know i can reach top 10 if i play properly focused on every single commit, managing to beat players from the top 10, but i often fail to think things through before commiting, i prefer to play on impulse (and realtime) and often don't have much time for long analysis (i play during work breaks), which leads to some mistakes which makes me more inconsistent, enough to prevent me from usually taking tournaments or get top 10 on ladders. was hoping to get better on the realtime ladder, but i still fuck up on some templates strategies now and again, forgetting some map protips after not playing them for a while.

I like to think that if i play properly focused and get a little luck break i can manage to win tournaments against top tier players (the last promotion relegation season and this manager league's clean sweep is proof of that). But it's still hard to find the time to really think things through before committing and catch a few lucky breaks when they are needed.

Maybe he wanted to wait for spuds sweeping the 3v3 tourney against all odds.

^I don't know who added todays update to the spreadsheet, but they have left out three other results which happened before that last 3v3 win for Spuds. Please don't selectively update the spreadsheet. It should be all results or nothing.

I randomly check for updates in A league, kinda slipped the 2v2 LotR between LoL and WTF other results must be B i guess? i cba to check those :x

Is there a concise list about which team has which players + managers? I want to know for whom to root for.

Thanks... hm... My boys and girls are in Random Players + Cat Attack + Ventus. Also two (or 3) of my clanmates are managers (Alpha Hunters + The Force (+ KKND for Random Players)). Well, I guess I won't play hardcore fan then and just wish all of them a nice time.
