The dashboard is fine, and fogged history and the new history interface are great.

Hate to just reiterate what several others are saying, but hopefully I can do it in a more tactful way.

While I respect that other players prefer the Dashboard, and it is a more convenient way for players to be aware of Tournament invites and Forum posts, the Dashboard-at the least-is missing the detailed organizational options of the My Games tab. I respectfully ask that Fizzer bring back the My Games and Open Games tabs, allowing players who prefer those mediums to use them.

P.S.: To those players who still wish to use the 'My Games' tab: It is still technically available, if you have the link itself. It is a pain in the ass to enter the link every time, but at least you can still access it. Here is the link, enjoy!

I hope half of people will stop using Warlight and then the 'smartguys' will come to idea that maybe giving back Open Games and My Games is better than hidding it from people.

for those of you being childish and that are raging against fizzer, please leave warlight, you should not be apart of the warlight community if little things like this are the end of the world to you, your actions will lead to nothing, if you want to make a point, do as cat juggernaut did

i personally dont like the removal of the tabs either, but i am not going to rage about having to use a bookmark instead of a tab, and im not fond of the dashboard either but i can still use it to get from game to game. this should not be a big deal

i love the rest of the update though, the history box always seems to get in the way, this update makes it much easier

warlight is an awesome game, unlike anything else out there, we should be thankful for fizzer making it, its simple, if you dont like it, dont play, there are many other places you can take your hate to

but i have to be honest fizzer, i hope you know what youre doing because some of these last few updates have left some good players disappointed, i hope this is all a part of a bigger plan

I'm not gonna go rage against fizzer, but I am disappointed to see the my games and open games tabs removed. I'm also very upset with the history because I'm just bothered by all the arrows showing me everything that happened instead of just seeing which territories were owned by which player each turn. For me it makes it confusing and unpleasant. I don't know if anyone else even cares about the history but I'm just stating my opinion.

The moral of the story: If it's not broke, don't fix it.

I *love* the new History display. Fantastic and so much fun!

If you want to see the moves happening, all you have to do is hit "Play" (which you would have had to do anyway, in the old interface). Enjoy!

No I meant like when you go from turn to turn. Whenever I hit the right arrow key to skip the turn (or the left if I want to go from turn to turn backwards) it shows me everywhere with the arrows that someone attacked and got instead of me just filling in the blanks EX: In turn 5 I had a territory but when I go to turn 6 another player has it making it obvious that I've been attacked by that player. I find the arrows to be unnecessary and kinda confusing.

True, it doesn't seem to be possible to hide the arrows while scrolling through the history turn-by-turn.

(A good possible fix would be to hide the arrows when the "Hide Orders" box is checked, but it doesn't currently work that way.)

I like them, though. You can see what happened during a given turn at a glance.

Heres the problem, the code itself was written in Flash, and seeing as Fizzer wants to get away from Flash and move into HTML he's going to have to remove things that were written in Flash. And if you've ever worked with coding before, rewriting an entire script into a different language isn't fun. So why blame him for removing it all together. I hated the my games tab and open games tab when I first started playing.

You're a minority, Des. And you used to have choice between Dashboard and My/Open Games (with unchangeable default on Dashboard). If he wants to convert the site into HTML5, he should do it all at once, with all pages translated.

My position on the new update is kinda neutral as of now. I kinda like the idea of having the option to view things like tournament invites, new posts in the forums, and the simplicity of seeing almost everything there.

What I don't like is the lay out. One big scroll line to get to that information. Call that nit picking but having to scroll to see things like open games, tournament invites or recent forum posts(all of which are closer to the bottom) is iffy ui. Since Fizzer will most likely not change this update its best to not lose our shit over it.

I personally prefer the open games/ongoing games tabs. I think it would be cool if tournament invites were more linked to in game mail, and if things related to community were more accessible through Multiplayer.

We may want to start approaching fizzer on what we specifically want out of updates before they happen. We always seem to go nuke crazy after updates.

But hey! What do I know? I play through mobile so im entirely unaffected.

Things change, if you wanna be a relic Xapy fine by me, but if your gonna mention your prehistoric opinions about things that'll never change. If you don't like it, don't play its that simple. There are plenty of people playing right now getting used to all of the changes.

Actually, I am taking a programming course - why is it hard? Don't do a little at a time - Flash has to start up again, and again, from using Dashboard. Either go full HTML5 (taking a long time) or don't. With this care, I want Fizzer to go away and stop "caring" - like I said, his updates have done little or harmed, especially this one. There's absolutely no input from the community about the updates, which is bad. Uservoice - the top 3 voted have been on there for 5 years, and still have not been implemented.

Furthermore, he didn't even truly delete My/Open Games - I've had to bookmark them - would it really be hard to just keep them around? I will get used to using the bookmarks often, and you can get used to eating s*** for the rest of your life, but why should you?

Well erm, I already used the dashboard so I'm ok.

My Games isn't all that relevant, but Open Games sure as hell is. It will be difficult and frustrating for newcomers to find open games.. all the way down to the lower left. Whereas the 'Open Games' tab led them straight to the open games.
