QB and PC have played lots of games with me, never have I had a problem with them inside a game. Infact, I currently have a game against QB on the 1v1 ladder right now (You've really improved from the 7 games we've played QB).
Yeah, c'mon, as someone whose username is "MrHymen," you should understand that your name doesn't reflect whether or not you're a troll. QB and PC actually come off as a lot more mature than most WL players you'll find in Open Games.
Haha, those were the first games I played when I joined. Most are against my friend that invited me to WL, so I could learn. ;o{ I often joke that he likes to boost his record vs me lol.
I've come a long way, but still learning more every day!! :D

In any case, thanks for trying to derail a recruitment thread. Funny how you don't do this to the dozens of other clans that make recruitment posts, but when we do it, we're "trolls."
At least it's nice to see some support from the players who have actually taken the time to get to know us.

I agree I've never had a bad game against poonsquad yes they've got some quirky names but they're respectful in games, isn't the point of a game to enjoy it? ive not seen them troll and for you changing your name to annoy QB that's mature :). I don't see anything distasteful in the original post. There are a couple harmless play on words that are perhaps childish, but who cares?
However, I am not a fan of recruitment threads in general. It seems like a poor way to get clan mates in general. Why not have an open tournament instead? That way you at least see people perform, and they can see the type of settings you like in the tournament as well.
It's like people that advertise via mailers (or hanging crap on your door). How many of those actually work? Yet if you get a referral from someone about a business...I bet you call them. You are much more likely to find a match for whatever service you are looking for than some mass advertising campaign.
That goes for more competitive clans and non competitive clans alike. Blind invites simply lead to more trolling. Get the players that are right for your clan.
^ Agreed. It's important to see your potential future clanmates in action (whether in diplo or strategy, depending on what your clan cares about) because it's in-game behavior that builds clan reputations and also lays the foundation for intraclan activity.
Unfortunately none of us have enough coins to start an open tournament. But generally when someone expresses interest in joining we start a game with then as sort of a trial run.
Agreed Chris and Knyte, Battle Islands 1v1 with strong prerequisites fills up surprisingly fast.
Idea: Filter for clans (open seat prerequisite) you can block certain clans or make only clan less people join so you can recruit easier. I was trying to recruit on Battle Islands and MotD and #QB joined my games lol
As a former member of Poon Squad (Had some tech issues causing everything to go to shit), I can truly say they're one of the most accepting groups I have met on the internet. While they are of course, very inappropriate, they have a core of active players that make the experience worth it.
I have seen nothing but hate from these forums being thrown at the clan, but when it comes down to it, you're no worse than they are.

Their issue is they started off really poorly with the forums. I have made an attempt to give them a second chance (and now only offer constructive criticism), but thank you for lumping me in with everyone.
