I am not sure why this even exists (it is not hard to hit "next"), but it can be super annoying. You can move from deploy to attack/transfer to commit without clicking the button, and accidentally submit your orders. Of course it requires deployment first (if you have any income, some templates you may not), but it can still happen.
I just don't understand why those hotkeys exist at all. To me they are only potential for mistakes and offer no benefit.

Keep them! It makes it tonnes faster to play. It's difficult to commit in time with 5 min boot and no hotkeys. Edit: I play from browser, and it saves me about 1 min per turn; it adds up quite quickly.

I always use the hotkeys. Really the only time when there's a risk of committing accidentally is during deployment, since you're essentially automatically in the submit phase. 'Z' doesn't do anything unless you've left the deployment and attack phases, so I don't really see the problem.

This saves me so much time, the ability to swiftly adjust deploys when you attack (can also be done by pressing CTRL) and so on is so nice. There is no reason to remove a feature that makes a game more efficient; I can understand making an option to disable hotkeys, but honestly can't you just not press them (no offense)?
Also, they're especially useful when playing multiple rt games with short boot. Without it, I'd be unable to play as good since I'd waste time simple switching phase and then in turn end up with less time to think.

Well, sure...I would take an option. That is a no brainer. But what if they cannot make it an option?
The reason I have an issue with them is sometimes I might click chat or PM, but for some reason it does not put the cursor in the chat box, so if I type those letters it can skip ahead. If that happens to be after I deployed, I could commit without even doing my moves. It doesn't happen often, but it has moved on me a half dozen times and I happen to have caught it before hitting Z (thankfully that is not an often used letter).
Moral of the story, this should be an option so nobody commits without wanting to.

I can safely say we are not getting rid of HotKeys. In fact, we will make it easier to understand Hot Keys in the next few updates. This feature has been on the roadmap for a while and I agree that it might have been hard to know what HotKeys exist, so there is an update coming for this.
If you commit by accident, try and modify orders. Or try not to hit random keys. :)
