Tried to be subjective, did Turkey. From ancient battles with Greece (and quasi Greece settlements, Istanbul founded in 682 BCE), to becoming a battleground between Persia/Parathia and Rome, to becoming a Byzantine part, slowly decaying until the 1200s, when it was just a hotbed for many tribes (Osman I of the Ottomans being notable), to 1453, when the Ottomans started to have clear hegemony in the area, to the 1600s, with mix of Turkish, Arabic and Persian, to wars with Russia, incursions to Balkans, later pushed out slowly by Europeans starting from the 1700s, some revitalisation by the Tanzimat, Russian-Turkish Gambit, Russia captures Aardhan, Balkan Wars, Turkey loses almost all European territory, World War 1, Turkey fights against the British and Greeks and Russians, takes back Aardhan through the Russian Revolution, but gets engulfed in it's own wars in 1918-1923, then stays neutral until joining NATO in the 1950s, starting the Anatolian crisis. The Cyprus crisis alienates Turkey from Europe (especially Greece and Cyprus), then Kurdish prosecutions, moving on to the 1990s, Turkey is affected by a mass influx of Armenian and Georgian Turks (from mainly Adjara), and here we have the Turkish republic today. Hail Erdogan.

Lol it's obviously germany. They went from a group of tribes to a world power to an economic disaster to an horrific (and epic) dictatorship that nearly conquered the world to a frontline between two groups on the verge of nepuclear war and is now a world leader in economic status, scientific research, tourism, diversity, and incest.

Bane, no, we didn't. Germany could've crushed the U.S. in world war 2 if they weren't worn down by attrition

I voted for China, few modern countries can lay claim to having more history than them. Plus China has not experienced much boredom in it's lifetime between all the dynasties rising and falling and then the communists later.

That's a debatable statement, especially since the Nazis didn't have a very reliable way to attack and invade the U.S. (Also considering the size and population of the U.S any invasion of the country would be a logistics nightmare)

If Germany and America 1v1'ed it would be like two people trying to slap each other and failing across a table

no.

we still would've won, in a 1v1 in world war 2. Undoubtedly, Germany had better Generals, and overall better technology, but the Nuclear Bomb would've completely changed the battleground if Germany had continued to fight.

EDIT: we also had a larger and better navy, meaning its unlikely Germany could've invaded the USA by sea if they had conquered Europe.

Uk, though British Isles also: At first occupied by my many ancient tribes, invaded by Rome, invaded by Saxons, invaded by Normans, epic medieval period including the 100 years war and the crusades, English civil war, Spanish Armada, British colonisation creating the worlds biggest empire 25% of the world controlled by a little island, defeated Napoleon, endured two horrific world wars defeating the Germans twice, remain a reasonable strong power in the world today, and still have an active monarchy. And this is just the basics.

defeated Napoleon

xD

Not really, Napoleon was defeated because an entire european coalition was against him, UK alone could not do anything. And I would say Russia was the main cause of Napoleon's next defeats.

I didn't say single handidly...but had quite a large part in it. We wouldn't have won without the coalition.
