It's possible.

Undo spy card not really a problem (just high priority fog modifications). Might cause some mods that use fog modifications to not quite work as expected though.

If you try to undo diplomacy card, that wouldn't stop the game from saying you're still in diplomacy, when you no longer are, after playing the undo diplomacy card. Attacks/transfers could still be allowed, but the mod might need to change orders to use territory modifications so that the order goes ahead, without being stopped by the diplomacy card.

More seriously however, some actually serious card concepts that I want to see in the game, that all pertain to Commerce mode, and are ideas I am suprised that I did not see, at least in this thread anyway:

Investment card: When used, select up to X tiles on the map, regardless of who controls them. The player can then purchase up to Y cities on those tiles at the normal price rate. The receiving player or players are all told exactly who sent this, how much they were gifted, and where. This card can be, in the game settings, also be given a toggle for letting the recipient(s) decline the offer, the gold spent being refunded if that occurs.
(this I think will be really useful in diplomacy/ffa games, and in team games. Also useful for just proping someone up or being used as an incentive for cooperation.)

Trade card: In commerce mode, this card can used to offer to trade up to three of your own tiles with another player for a sum of armies, card pieces, gold, or placeable cities. When used, this card instantly adds itself to the list of things the receiving player must resolve before they can submit their turn. if that player already submitted their turn, they can respond to it without needing to unsubmit. This card does not impact a players banked turn time in this situation. If the game is forced to move to the next turn, the offer is auto-declined. The recipient of the offer will review the details of the trade, and may be allowed accept, decline, or propose a counter offer. If a counter offer is sent, the original user of the card is only allowed to accept or refuse the counter offer. When accepted, the effects of the agreement go off at the start of the next turn.

Bribe card: A variant to the trade card, where the user of the card is instead offering a sum of unspent armies, card pieces, gold, and placeable cities for upto three of another players tiles. (so, it swaps the give and take.)

Suicide card

A fancy way to surrender. It will also say "Player has committed suicide" instead of "Player has surrendered" in the order list.

Edit: A player whose income or stack count is less than half of the opponent's will receive a suicide card every turn he fails to surrender.

Border Treaty: A variant of the trade card intended for more non-commerce mode situations, and to additionally be a more "practical" alternative to the gift card. Here, the user of the card will select up to X tiles they control, and offer to to swap them for X selected tiles an opponent controls. The amount of tiles being traded must be equal on both sides.

this card could hopefully allow for faster and more nuanced diplomacy, and help make splitting one or more bonuses between two players less chaotic and slow. I can imagine this one being pretty strong.

Too funny!

But I suspect the people targeted by this (don't surrender types) would still be averse to suicide

Maybe it could be a "glitch" card that ends the game with:
"A Warzone glitch has occurred, resulting in elimination of player X to no fault of their own"

This occurs iff they opt into it themselves by playing the Glitch card. Every turn they don't while they still have <50% of opponent's resources, it nags more and more:

- after 3 turns, "oh my you're quite behind, you do realize this isn't going to end well for you?"
- after 6 turns, "ok, you're just being stubborn now, do you need help finding the Glitch card or the Surrender button?"
- after 10 turns, "this is your last warning and your last chance to save face by ending the game of your own volition"
- after 13 turns, player is eliminated with message "player X has committed suicide"

Interesting ideas, and sounds like if they were to be created that they do belong as functions of a diplo mod rather than actual cards. imho, the only one worth adding onto would be Factions, but I know the author (Dutchman) isn't looking to add new functionality to it at this time

In lieu of that, most of what you've suggested here can be accomplished by:
(A) making deals with those you trust (yea, that's hard sometimes)
(B) Factions mod
(C) Buy Cards v2 mod
(D) Gift Gold Ultra 3 mod
(E) Gift cards

This would permit you to make alliances (Factions), trade gold (Gift Gold), buy armies/cities with the gold or buy cards (Buy Cards v2) and trade territories (Gift cards) to make deals

Rainbow card

All player-owned territories are assigned random colours to confuse the opponent. They have to click on each territory to see who is controlling it.

The original creator of built-in card designs was Fizzer. Later, the built-in card designs were replaced by Sam Trout (see credits of https://www.warzone.com/About). Custom card designs are currently made by the mod author, though some mod authors seem to use AI-generated designs rather than human ones. Unclear which models are used for AI-generated card designs for certain mods.

lol alex. i thought rainbow card gave a player the power of being on all teams. when played any attacks against are transferred instead.

dan, since you don’t work for free, what are your fees?
