It will encourage stalling as even if you're losing, you'll know your opponents will have a higher chance of getting booted with a 1d clock, so you'll have an incentive to stall.

1 day boot and no banked time is the dream

No day boot and 1 day banked time is much better, obviously. That way, you have to play out the entire game within a single day, which saves everyone a lot of time, and is better in tune with modern audience since WZ is so accessible now that you are perfectly able to play it, be it on mobile or PC, everywhere and at any time. There's really no excuse to not make it happen, and clearly anybody who wouldn't want that doesn't take the game seriously enough.

To make sure the ladder games are finished as soon as possible, i suggest making them all real time.
