CW Summary (S31 - Day 11 & 12):

Exciting stuff! Double day summary! I lied, nothing exciting happened. Actually, you might not read now. It was SUPER exciting!!! Also, cool new graph at the bottom!



Myth Busters vs Optimum
MB - 47 wins (-1 rating)
Opti - 48 wins (+41 rating)

MB take another 2 wins on Opti on Day 11, Opti take 3 back on Day 12. We see nice win numbers from both clans. Opti topping the charts today with 26 wins. They’ve been avoiding each other and crushing noobs. Participation has dropped for both clans. 33 each on Day 11, 33/32 on Day 12. Both 2 less than their average.

MB’s favourite template on the stats site has changed from S1v1 to CommLD to SE1W on Day 11, now it’s back to CommLD.

MB vs Opti games (past 2 days):
MB win 7.
Opti win 9.

Knyte vs Prime
Knyte - 29 wins (+64 rating)
Prime - 28 wins (-15 rating)

Just like Opti vs MB, Prime gain 2 wins over Knyte on Day 11, then Knyte get 3 back on the 12th day. Though Knyte’s rating had jumped significantly because they aren’t playing as many games. 5 games less on both days. So 10 less games and more wins? You start to wonder if the gap would be closable if Knyte kept motivated. But now, with their current participation, it’s near impossible.

Prime and Knyte aren’t playing each other. Really the only time they get games against each other is when Prime swarms SEAD. When they do fight they’ve been dead even.

Knyte vs Prime games (past 2 days):
Knyte win 5.
Prim win 5.

Mirror days for Harmony. 13/26 on both days. Above average participation. They only lost 2 wins worth of ground to Prime and 3 to Knyte.

Midfield Battle

It’s still close in the midfield. No change in gap of 5 wins between MH and LFA, but FDC close up a little, gaining 2 on them.

TLA and Mothership have awful days. TLA winning 4/19, M’ship winning 2/15. The gap to 6th now 13 wins for TLA and 24 for M’ship. They could catch TLA and maybe a clan that has a bad end of season, too, but I can’t see them getting higher than 8th this season. It’s looking like 10th. A big drop from their top 5’s from Season 25-28.

Last Man Standing!
Matutake plays “dd” from Harmony. dd misses a card on Turn 5 and Matutake doesn’t. ‘Take then uses the threat of Europe to distract dd and the extra troops from the earlier second card to break South America.

The next day, ‘Take plays Sapk. An interesting coin flip game where you’re hoping for 2nd pick, as either Oceania/Africa or SA/Africa combo are just winning. Sapk wins the coin flip and gets the SA/Africa combo and plays it perfectly by taking Africa and SA on turn 2, then full countering NA on turn 3.

Always disappointing to lose coin flip spawns in SE1W. Please, a HUGE round of applause for Matutake, our Last Man Standing for the 2nd season out of the last 3.

Tomorrow we switch the focus to those that are 1 off perfect. I’ve had a look, there are some names already mentioned this season, but also a community favourite performing out of his mind. I can’t wait!

CW Summary (S31 - Day 13):

Opti fruitlessly debase themselves. 3rd place battle over? New protagonists introduced!



Myth Busters vs Optimum
MB - 24 wins (-4 rating)
Opti - 25 wins (+57 rating)

Opti start strong, with an 11 man Guiroma swarm on the 3rd slot, they successfully hunt noobs. Finishing the first half with 18/20 win and for the first time since Day 6, Opti overtake MB in rating. But with only 10 games in the second half, they tie their worst day this season in terms of participation and only gain 1 win on MB, even though MB’s rating dropped today.

MB’s favourite template switched back to S1v1 after their own 8 man swarm on the 4th slot.

MB vs Opti games:
MB win 5.
Opti win 6.

Knyte vs Prime
Knyte - 10 wins (-40 rating)
Prime - 13 wins (-4 rating)

Knyte had their most played games in 4 days. Still lacklustre compared to early in the season. They only won 10 games. Their second worst this season.

Prime had their worst day in participation and second worst in wins, though not as bad as Knytes, they extend their lead by 3.

If Knyte lose to Prime on days like this, it’s safe to call it. It’s over. Prime take 3rd. Knyte take 4th. I’m closing this segment for the rest of the season.

Harmony with 9 wins. Single digits for the 4th time this season. Rating went down by 14 points.

An average day for all clans except for LFA, who win 8/11, twice as many as MH, and shrink the gap down to 1.

When it comes to 1 off perfect seasons, there have only been 10 by 8 different players. Of the above list, only 2 of them are apart of the club. That would be Johnny last season and Matutake the season before that.

It’s good to see Traitor doing well. A regular in Global Chat. A little bit of a weirdo, but then so is everyone in GC. Traitor considers himself to be a “Jack of all trades, master of none.” He’s won on 4 templates this season, beating MB on 2 of them. His only loss was to Johnny on CommLD on the second day of the season.

For Fun, the reigning seasonal ladder champion, was 1 off going into the day. Unfortunately, he lost today on French Brawl vs some random Irish bloke from a random clan called USSR.

The only change in the standings today was 19th and 20th. FTW overtook Italia Caput Mundi! Hype!!!

Myth Busters vs Optimum
MB - 27 wins (+17 rating)
Opti - 19 wins (-11 rating)

Opti?! Opti?! … Hey you! Have you seen Opti? I can’t find them anywhere. 27 games played? That’s their worst showing this season. They picked up 3 free wins today.

Opti chose the wrong day to go AWOL as MB have an outstanding day. Just like on Day 8, they have as many wins as Opti’s total games. They went perfect through the first 4 slots, winning their first 13 games.

MB vs Opti games:
MB win 5.
Opti win 4.

14/29 is a slightly below average day for Prime. 3 games below, 2 wins below. -3 rating.

15/28 is an average day for Knyte. Average games. Average wins. Average members with average personalities. Rating went up by 16 points.

8/21 for Harmony. Single digits again. Participation low. But a rise of 5 clan rating means we probably faced difficult opponents today. Yep. Just counted. 8 players went up against MB/Opti.

Midfield Battle

Below average day for MH. LFA have 1 more win than them and tie it at the top of the race for 6th.

TLA have a bad day winning 1 out of 10. Mothership, who are in 10th, close the gap to them by 5 wins. The gap is still 8 wins, though. They have a lot of work to do if they want to gain a single position.

Octane gets a win on SEAD. His 6th different template this season.

Traitor kills a noob playing his 2nd CW game. He took to GC to brag about it too. He has no shame.

Matutake faces Veravari, the antihero, and destroys him with perfect play.

Karlstadt (Knyte) is our only loser today. Everybody laugh at him! Ha ha ha! Actually, now that I look at his game, maybe that’s a little insensitive. Karl faced an Opti Bomb God in Smahik. Smahik is 4th all time in total CW wins on Combomb. Karl had the whole map on lockdown, but Smahik had a nasty surprise. He had saved up 3 reinforcement cards and a bomb, waiting until he had order priority to kill Karl’s commander with a crazy comeback combo.
