5.19 features tabs in the standalone client. Originally the standalone is no difference with the mobile app (except being on desktop obviously), and now you made it more browser-like. Would you like Fizzer to not update the game for weeks, add this few of a breakthrough and then call it a day?
That's right, 5.19 is ONLY TABS! A majority of people don't even benefit from it, and members who wanted tabs would just use chrome because those tabs are Internet-wide! It doesn't feature any big fixes, it doesn't feature any minor quality-of-lifes, it doesn't even feature universal support and you have to pay $4.99 USD just to enjoy this! How pathetic, Fizzer!

If you actually wanted those, leave it down.

Nobody is forcing you to get a membership. In fact, you lack one. And why would every update need to be a big one? The version went from 5.18 to 5.19: being a minor update is implied. Also, obscure profanity in your tagline isn't allowed, even if it's in another language. I hope your mom is doing well.

So this is a double complaint, that it's (1) a small update, and (2) a membership only update?

Don't see the point of complaining about this. I will admit that the 5.19 update was lacklustre compared to other updates, but I'll also admit that it's not the first update I've been disappointed with, there's been a number which didn't have much to offer me in particular. But there have been others which had tons, and some which had just a bit but was actually pretty exciting.

Were you also disappointed with 5.17 b/c the focus was on mod making and you you don't make mods? And 5.16.1 b/c it was just a Unity upgrade?

I also don't get the purpose of the comment of this statement:

This implies that he's not working on any other improvements to the game, which is silly. There's probably some reason he decided it was time for an update, and this was the only thing that was ready to go. Would you really rather him not release the Standalone App Tabs update and just save it for when there are other updates just for the sake of having a 'big' update? In the end, what does it really matter? Why are you so passionate about this one particular update?

As of 5.18.1 is a minor update and 5.19 is a medium one. I'm sorry, but if you see this big enough as it deserves one of these, it's fine.

(1)I wasn't disappointed in those update because it, again, features other minor things. Although the big one might not affect me much, the small ones do.
(2)I get your argument here, some minor updates are probably just not ready for release, but are there that much minor updates that takes forever to fix? The standalone client tabs update is hypable, in the form of just kind of "5.18.1" sense, and I would honestly be much fine. And also, after all, do you want a better 5.19?

I like it. I am organizing a lot stuff in my clan. And make updates in Clan League. I have to switch between tournaments and chats a lot. And I am mostly using my phone. If tabs are introduced I might not need to get to my laptop to do the organizational stuff but can do it on the way.

I am looking forward actually.

Agree with you that it likely should have been called 5.18.1 and not 5.18 given the low feature count in this update.

In version #'s x.y.z, so far I can tell the major version number (x) is reserved for large scale changes. Not sure what v1, v2 and v3 were, but v4 seems to be Warzone (Warlight 2), v5 is Idle, who knows what v6 could be - maybe nothing ever to match the scale of completing revamping the game to (re)create WZ or adding an entirely new game like Idle.

The next segment of version (y) seems to be all regular updates.

The next segment of version (z) seems to be the small updates, and they don't seem to relate to the previous update. eg: Update 5.16.1 was a minor Unity update, which had nothing to do with with the 5.16 Super Ascend update before it. So 5.18.1 for this update would also have been fine despite having nothing to do with 5.18.

But in the end, it's just nomenclature.

Probably a more interesting discussion ... does anyone think we'll ever get a v6? And what would it be?

This was actually the main idea I was expressing in the beginning, that it was too pathetic is a medium update. I don't know what will happen next, but V6 might be the thing that improves warzone by a lot, or adding a fundamental change to WZ physics. The best thing that can happen now, is if someone found Drew Durnil in Warzone.

If you missed Fizzer's QnA stream in March of 2021, which would be understandable, he said in that stream that his overall goal for the standalone app, and also the mobile version, to have them mirror the web version as much as possible, if not completely. This, in my opinion, is a good step forward. It might not a big step forward, but I'm sure it will have a positive quality of life impact on the game.

Yes, you can have all of this on browser without a membership, and yes, there are still some areas of Warzone that you can only access on the web version, mainly the points and coins pages, but one of the benefits of the standalone client is that you're not capped on how much power the game can use as you might be when playing on browser, and tabs don't really take that away. In fact, from what I've seen, it further minimizes loading times between pages, since all those pages would be loaded and it would just be the time taken to switch between tabs, which is almost nothing

From what I can tell, listing it 5.19 does make sense if you think about it.

The way I see the version number written is: version.feature.major fix (update).minor fix (patch)

Since tabs is a new 'feature', to Fizzer, this would imply it being a new feature update when writing the version number, thus going from 5.18 to 5.19 instead of 5.18.1

Sure, it may not make sense in terms of how impactful it may be, but it does make sense based on what type of update it is

So I tried the new update, and I like the concept. But it still has a few flaws that needs to get fixed.

Few points of feedback:

The tabs and the buttons for opening and closing the tabs are comically big

All forums and mails are called "Discussion"

Seeing the Login window auto-login for each new tab is very annoying

Clan chat still cant be increased to full tab

Nor can the mod development console

The SP/MP/Community/Store tabs are all called "Main menu"

There is no way to open something in a new tab. All you can do is open a new tab and navigate all the way back to what you wanted to open (sadly this is leaking into the web version more and more, pls Fizzer, just make the browser back button go back a page instead of all the way to the home menu...)

Yes please. Much better than those unwanted major updates where he breaks clans, blocks a beloved game style, or deprecates "unused" functionality people will ask what happened to for years.

I think he means dislike as in downvote. This thread should not get downvoted since clearly the content of this post has been found enjoyable or interesting by the general community. Some people just downvote threads they disagree with. Some people even use the full force of their alts to periodically downvote posts made by certain other people forum-wide.

It is, functionally. This was reported months ago and ignored. Who knows what's allowed or not? Long bios are a moderation priority, Boston's language is not. Saying "wtf" over the course of months gets people warned (and later gaslit); meanwhile actual cheating is practically encouraged.

Hard to predict the moral standards of the kind of man who would lie to raise money for his frivolous lawsuit.
