I ascended for my first time

@krinid I’ve decided to ascend instead of going for HT/HEH and then skipping to hex; I am going to farm some more AP from the earlier levels (since I can confidently clear them rapidly with the advancements I have) until I have enough to take down the extra levels (eg, by maxing skip levels advancement)

When do you start running out of Skip Level and Inspire Mercs powers? Is there a “new level” (preferably in the #6-#10 range) that is comparatively playable to help ration SL powers?

I'm not using the Skip Level strat. I still have a lot of Skip Levels and Inspire Merc powers and I don't think I'll ever run out of them.

I haven't used any Skip Levels in the previous super-ascension. I used phase 3 Can Skip Levels to skip over the bad levels.

Those who use the Skip Level/Hex Earth strat can try to answer graemes's question though.

I just looked at @here's arts again and he has a cooling down rare IM art that's not in his equiped slots. How is that possible?

It was on 4th slot which has gone after SpAsc

As long as you have >3 carryover slots & >3 artifacts, the 3 artifacts you have equipped @ time of SAsc will become unequipped, and the 1st three unequipped artifacts will become your equipped artifacts.

When you Super Ascend, artifacts are ordered as follows:
- everything in your unequipped list comes first, into Super Ascend slots 1,2,3,etc
- everything equipped gets put to the end of Super Ascend slots, n-3,n-2,n-1,n,etc (cooling down artifacts are in this category)
- after Super Ascending, the first 3 artifacts (#1,2,3 in the Super Ascend slots, see above, these are your first 3 unequipped artifacts) get put into your equipped slots

How about Insane TW on cooling down at #3?

So can you get multiple of the same art equiped this way? Triple insane TW is basically infinite TW

Not sure about that, but he probably swapped IN a cooling down artifact after it was swapped out post SAsc, but not sure, before taking the screenshot.

No, can only equip 1 of a given artifact type at any given time.

I meant if I were to place the 3 first art slots on SAsc to be TW not just moving it in manually afterwards.

I volunteer to carry two Time Warps next super ascension - should be within the next week or so. It’s high risk but the reward really cannot be overstated. Even if I take a poor TW, it will never ever leave the slot if this works.

One quick question for this group - I see in here’s screenshot that he has ‘Artifact Cooldown Speed’ at 30%. What is this? I see it in my statistics but it’s only ever been 0% for me.

@graemes It does not work like you think so I recommend that you just pick artifacts that you need.

To keep it short the 1st 3 artifacts that you select are the ones that get equipped so if you don't select anything with a CD as the 1st 3 then they will end in the "unequipped bag" with a CD. If you equip them from the bag with a CD active you can't remove them till the CD is over (as expected). If you have multiple copies of the same artifact and select it 1st, 2nd, and 3rd only the 1st one you select gets equipped.

I usually select my 1st 3 artifacts form the middle and then go from the back of the list towards the front so it's really easy to verify. I'm guessing most go from the start to the back of the list.
