Not surprising, unless you really go at levels like HEH, HT, HC, 7yw, 30yw a few times each, then maybe 0 Ascensions works, but relying mostly on Hex requires (according to my calcs) about 12x 25% AP buffs + the 25% Adv buff to get it all done w/o Asc, where each Asc clears Hex 5 times.

Is there a particular reason for keeping Smelt Double? Or is it just a random epic artifact to be sacrificed later?

Wow, with 400% AP bonus, you can SAsc without Asc'ing just by doing 3x Hex + a bunch of other levels (on the way to Hex) or 4x Hex.

But how many skip level powers would u need to get that far (and to even clear the required levels to get there?)

I just tried the skip level superpower to get as far as possible into the new levels, hoping to reach hex earth, then got thoroughly humiliated… surely I must be missing something!

Assume you have 0 SLs left and none on the maps, you clear as many as you have to to unlock phase 3, invest in Skip Levels to level 10, and it gets quicker from there. Clearing levels & gaining AP will be quick b/c +400% AP & nice supporting artifacts.

Insane AcampB, Insane AcacheB, Insane TW will go a long way.

As for Smelt Double, yea assuming that is just fodder.

@here what advancements do you get during a super-ascencion other then skip Level?

Mid-phase 2, just completed EH, 105% AM, 190% IACP, max AV and merc discount advancements. Should I ascend or try to go for hex earth?

@Darryl, Finish HEH first and if that goes ok, well unless you have a lot of Skips, it's a long way to Hex, but that's the way to go.

@Norman, Of course, silly me ... followed by Super Duper Califragilistic Ascension of course where you and all your clanmates lose all the artifacts you carried over in previous Super Ascensions, and you have to pay $50 cash only to reset again with all Advancements starting @ -100%. And of course mortars are still useless.
