^ what Phoenix said.

most of Auto- upgrades won't do you any good at an early stage, except auto-conquer, you need it for the battles.
(you can switch all Auto- features off by the way)
I'm currently in the middle of my first ascension, and I still haven't spent a single AP on Autos (except auto-conquer of course)

Statistics can help you plan your game more efficiently. Maybe not so helpful at the very beginning. I'd invest in them after I have already spent about 5000 AP on the really important stuff

One more question please.
When you ascend and start to play all levels again, mines, army camps, hospitals and other relevant elements are located in the same places?

Thanks,

Theoretically yes, but I wouldn't build on it since locations of the various elements have been changed with almost every update. As long as there's no update, you'll be replaying the exact same levels after ascension.

For that, check the blog posts (or use the new notification system to be notified of new blog posts):

If an update changes the idle maps, it is (usually) noted in the change log as something along the lines of "All levels we re-generated" together with a version/revision number. The last such change was in March and currently we are on revision 16.

BUT, I haven't noticed any changes in assets over the last few revisions. So, you shouldn't rely on particular positions, but I'd say that by now the maps are pretty stable when it comes to claimable assets. The last update changed mainly bonus income.

The levels sometimes get regenerated, and as soon as that happens, everything changes. When the game was first released, the levels were regenerated every couple weeks or so. A bunch of us shared screenshots of fog busted maps with each other, but they quickly became useless b/c of the regeneration. Not sure if the levels are still being regenerated anymore, but they could be, so as Parsifal said, don't base your strategies on previous info last time you cleared the level.

Hi guys,

In Parsifal's Warzone Idle - Full Guide 2.3, he mentions a big time reduction for finishing levels after ascend. Is there any difference in digging time? Finishing a level in two days will give us time for making just a few digs.

Also, when started playing I wasn't aware about the achievements when finishing all techs in a level, then I missed some in early stages. Making all techs in a level after ascend would mean the same achievement? In other words, may I make the missing achievements when I face the levels again after ascension?

Thanks,
Arcturus

For digging times there is an advancement in the fourth phase, but other than that (and if I remember correctly some clan wars reward that speeds up digging) there is not much you can do. So, if the level times decrease, so will the number of artifacts that you can dig. But if you want to simply max the number of artifacts you get, then focus on the 8h sites, they are the fastest and you still get three per day.

For the achievements, I don't know for sure, but I'm very confident that you will be able to collect them on any attempt. The only problem could be that with faster level times it might be harder to unlock all the techs in time; perhaps you have to stay in some level only to finish all the smelting and stuff. There are always tech requirements that you can't buy from markets and those are also those that take ages to collect ores from mines for. So, while (probably) possible, it is easiest to get them done on the first attempt.

PS: Regarding the time reduction in general, I haven't checked the guide here specifically (so, perhaps this information is redundant), but the levels don't get faster just because of the ascending, rather they get faster because of the unlocked and upgraded advancement. In case this wasn't clear before.

@Arcturus

exactly what Phoenix said: levels get faster not because the ascension, but because of the invested AP. I should probably rephrase it in the guide to make it clearer...

Artifact digging time doesn't change. But what difference does it make if you dig two artifacts, one after another on one map, or two artifact on two different maps? Digging sites are unlimited.

Phoenix is right that it's easier to max your tech tree before you start flying through the levels... but on the other hand, is that achievement so important? I wouldn't want to lose progress speed for it. After I'll have unlocked all the needed upgrades I want, I will maybe play one slow ascension round, maxing out the tech tree to get the achievements. Probably ascension Nr. 27....

Hi guys,

Many thanks for youtr answers.
And yes, it is clear in the guide the faster speed is because of the invested AP. Sorry if I wasn;t clear enough when asking.

One last question (Parsifal). In your guide you illustrated time difference for finishing Old Town level, showing two pictures of the final statistics. These statistics are so detailed because you unlocked Statistics level 1 only? Or a higher level?

I think in order to get the full information you need Statistics on level 2.
However, maybe finishing a level will present you with the stats regardless....
Sadly I can't check it - I maxed Statistics pretty much right away and I don't remember what was it like to play without them

@Arcturus

It is stats level 2 that gives you the time stats for in the army income panel. If you click/tap the help button next to the description for the stats advancement, it will bring up a detailed description of what each level unlocks.

@Parsifal

If you want to check, after you've finished you current level, replay the tutorial level, and reset your AP, to see if there's a time stat on the end screen.

Did you just seriously suggest he reset his AP to confirm something for someone else? lol

Better idea ... play the tutorial with an alt and confirm it that way.

i consider to do a number of quick re-runs of lowest level map with a 100% / 8 hrs. / low cost "common" artefact dig site and abort level after starting dig. Looks like fastest and cheapest way to get a lot of common artefacts for subsequent upgrades. Wrong?

Not wrong, but that approach won't help you with finishing other levels. If you are fine with having no more progression in the idle "campaign" and just want more artifacts, then go for it, it should work.
