Would only make sense that it's X.Y, where X=# territories, Y=# of wins.

So 8.0 > 7.39, etc.

Though I suppose can still have an X.Y tie ... in which case ... have a 1v1 showdown, 1 chosen from each clan, thus x.y+1 beats x.y.

I think if Fizzer implements a QM-style template selection (select all the ones you are willing to play, then get a game in one of them), this would work much better, and enable a wider variety of templates to be options, while still making sure as many games as possible are created.

I doubt it. Templates will remain the same. I see it as a noob-friendly gateway into tougher competition that this site holds. There is already MTL&quickmatch with a bunch of exotic templates and Clan League which holds tougher competition. I doubt Fizzer will change the template rotation. Clan Wars is a for fun event for the community anyways. Show up, play 1 game and support the clan emblem you hold.

Honestly I'm fine with any templates as long as there's always 1 on SE. That's all I'm likely to ever play in CW regardless of which template it is, even Sans Skill. I'm not a big RT player, but it is fun to compete and represent my clan and vie for prizes, so I'll just choose a template that I'm able to sometimes commit enough straight time to playing, and just have fun with it.

So that said ... what are the least Sans Skill SE templates? Some say that SE in general is already a lottery. Actually maybe that was just KG.

Clan Wars Imbalance!! I really enjoy cw's, but with some clans having HUNDREDS of players to draw on while most clans are limited to 40 is downright insane. The only way to even remotely make it a fairer playing field is to either take all limits off clan membership or limit any one clan to max 25 participates. Otherwise Clan Wars is just a reward system for the biggest clan.

While in theory every clan could field 40 active players, in practice this doesnt work. If you have 230 members to pick from. finding 40 that are online daily is a lot easier than if you would have just 40 members in total.

It's not 40 daily. Once 40 different players played, no other player can participate. Having more than 40 members just mean there is a room to decide who plays and who does not.

Which helps a lot if you don't want to kick non-idle people from your clan who simply aren't interested in Clan Wars.
22 people from our clan participated in CW.

CW = reward system for biggest clan = incorrect.

I agree that big clans have an advantage of a larger player base to draw from to get better participation, but have you noticed the clan in 1st place this season, so far ahead that it's not likely they'll be pushed out of 1st? And it's the same clan that came in 1st last season?

Now check their roster... 44 members. So yea, >40, but far from huge.

Also ... regarding the specific clan 4tog comes from Hodopian Dynasty (https://www.warzone.com/Clans/?ID=491), you're only @ 37 members, so you still have capacity for 3 more. That's 3 wasted opportunities ... find 3 more members who can commit to active CW participation.
