To help make this the best show yet, we've added 4 new awards: Most Improved Warzoner, Best Medium Map, Best Clan League Performance, and Best Ladder Performance. Shoutout to our Competitive Committee (Min34, Checkmqte, and Yaxvi) for assisting with creating the new competitive awards. You can see all the awards below (Please note, Best Clan and Best New Mapmaker have moved to the 3 Nominee tier)!

3 Nominee Awards:

Best New Mapmaker – An individual who started their mapmaking career with memorable maps

Best Clan – A clan that found or continued their success or awareness

Community Member of the Year – An active individual who impacts the Warzone community in a positive way

Map of the Year – A map that excels because of its balance, character, and overall craftsmanship

Mapmaker of the Year – An individual whose maps stand out among Warzone's best

Warzoner of the Year – An individual player who excels in the competitive aspect of Warzone

Most Improved Warzoner – An individual player who momentously improved their competitive skills


5 Nominee Awards:

Best Creative Map - A map with charisma; offering a unique way of playing, or a new look

Best Large Map - A map that utilizes having more than 300 territories in an interesting way

Best Medium Map – A map that utilized less than 300, but more than 100 territories in an interesting way

Best Match – A significant match that showcased fun or strategic competition

Best Small Map - A map that utilizes having less than 100 territories in an interesting way

Best Strategic Map – A map that inspires strategic thinking and intuitive play

Best Tournament – A significant tournament that showcased fun or strategic competition

Best Clan League Performance – An individual player who had a standout performance in Clan League

Best Ladder Performance – An individual player who excelled in one or multiple ladders

All awards are for 2020. This should be pretty self-explanatory. For example, Warzoner of the Year should be a player who excelled in 2020, not in past years. Map of the Year can only be a map made in 2020. So, no not Rise of Rome.

After the description of each award, you will see (X Nominee). You don't have to give that number (X) for each submission, but it would be appreciated. The number is just so you're aware of how many nominees there will be for that award.

Please be specific for each award and provide links (when it’s necessary). Just because you put in a nominee suggestion doesn't mean it will make the nomination list. Ethan and I will be going through and deciding who ultimately makes the final cut. However, if we see lots of similar suggestions, we will probably put them on the final list.

The nomination submissions end on Monday, January 4th, 2021.

While I know some of y’all are joking around or perhaps trying to convince others (which is cool!) but I don’t want any confusion. We’re only taking nominee suggestions through the form above so any names dropped in this thread won’t be reviewed.

Amateur of the year? Up and comer? Don't they give an award typically for newer players that have become of status in the field?

I have made some good maps so qualify but they arent nearly the best. I pretty much qualify for all the awards.. XD
