nations exist so people can unite their hate against others, and also coördinate the hate an a much bigger scale
Politics / Religion
Politics and Religion are not appropriate subjects to discuss on Warzone unless they're done in a place where everyone present is willing to discuss such topics.

For example, it's OK to make a forum thread in the off-topic forum that discusses politics or religion as long as the thread subject clearly identifies it as the subject. The thread subject should also be neutral in nature to avoid provoking those who only read the subject and never enter the thread.

As another example, it's never acceptable to discuss these topics in the global chat room, as that's open to the public so it's impossible to get consent from everyone who could read it.

The reasoning behind this rule is that we don't want to subject people to these topics unless they explicitly consent to being willing to discuss them.

What do you think about these rules?

What do you think about these rules?
It's sensible to keep heated political and religious discussions off of Global Chat (GC) and most public spaces. There's plenty of online venues for discussing politics, and we've seen before what political & religious discussions can become on non-political sites where the conversation gets dominated by a few very-invested people (e.g., OT being a radicalization chamber). It's also nice that there's some leeway to still discuss politics & religion for those inclined (e.g., by having obvious and neutral thread titles).

The context of this rule (getting added by surprise, never actually announced, after people were already muted) is of course a lot more dismaying.

Does "Warzone" refer to the original game formerly known as Warlight or the "shared brand" encompassing both Warzone Idle and Warzone Strategic?
