Here is a new challenge for anyone who wants to join Lynx or just wishes to explore their options:
Win at least 5 out of 10 games against Lynx players and earn the right to join Lynx.
Details: You choose 5 templates of the MD-Ladder. Lynx chooses 5 templates of the MD-Ladder. You play 10 games on these templates against Lynx members selected by us.
Disclaimer: We attach importance to socially adequate behaviour and will of course not consider players who are conspicuous in this area. Possibly we will also consider players who win less than 5 games.
for someone who is seriously weighing up joining Lynx then of course! it's a chance for you to get to know a bunch of Lynx players and see whether you want to part of lynx or not. at the end there's zero obligation to join.
(but if you just want to do it for fun then that's a different thing.)
I liked the idea and thought this was fun! Then I read the disclaimer, which kind of destroys the idea of the challenge.
If I was interested in joining Lynx (maybe because I am getting tired of Beren) why should I go through the effort of participating in this challenge and play 10 games if I could just as well ask you if I am allowed to join after playing just a few recruitment games?
What I mean is, this challenge certainly isn't a shortcut for people who are looking to join Lynx. And with the disclaimer in place it doesn't seem like you'd be willing to accept folks that you don't want to see in your clan anyway. Ultimately, the fact that you might be willing to recruit players that win less than 5 games just makes it clear that this is no challenge, where people earn the right to join Lynx - this is just an ordinary recruitment post.
I can see clearer now, Quicksilver. Thanks to your help I have reached 3rd level and I realized this challenge isn't aimed at me. But maybe I can challenge somebody else to participate? I nominate @FiveStarGeneral and @Yaxvi to participate in this challenge, experience the six levels of enlightenment, make new friends along the way and find out more about the Lynx Megacorp plot that stands behind it.
@89th I think this challenge is more targeted at losers like me who don't really have the on-paper/proven skills, giving them a chance to prove their skills (or not)
