Yea this is a thread to possible collect people who actually like local deployment.

I have no personal interest in this at at all concerning a pure LD-map i need testers for before release (today is not a special date!)

Still, just feel free to post here if you like LD even if you are not interested in the secret project.

I like the occasional LD game on SMALL MAPS.

But on medium and larger maps, it gets tedious. On massive maps like Star Wars galaxy, large GoT, etc ... totally unbearable.

I think local deployment is what makes WZ battles closest to real-world battles. In real world you need supplies for your armies, which come from your already-invaded territories and I think that LD actually best matches this definition. So, yeah, LD makes a level harded but imo it is a nice touch to any game.

I like LD because it gives the feel that there are supply lines within your borders. I would be interested in the project

Local deployment is the reason I love autopilot.

Anyone knows if Janine is still around? I thought of her as the best LD player from German Warlords.

I feel LD gives considerably more strategy on most but certainly not all maps/templates.
Roman Imperium is perfect with it
But I would not want to play on bigger maps because it becomes more mindless moves as opposed to that being compensated by the strategy bonus

I like local deployments a lot
