Though, is this a minor infraction? If this could effect the other clan results if Otterycat beats them, it could effect all of Clan League.

To me it is. It's a misinterpretation of a small detail, of an already confusingly worded rule.

Otterycat last played CL for 101st in April of 2018, which has been a long time. There is also no guarantee Ottery's spot if played by another player would be better or worse than Ottery, and is a pretty poor argument. It can also be said that forcing 101st to surrender would give the clans Ottery is playing an unfair advantage as well. In the end of it this league can't be pushed into being 100% fair. Boots, mistakes, variations in level of play and substitutions alone make sure of that.

I won't be the one making this decision as it is up to the ethics panel to decide, I'm just stating my opinions on the matter.

If you're not making the decision, you should probably not be putting out your opinion publicly. It somewhat undermines the ethics panel, and somewhat invalidates their reason for existing, which is to insulate the organizers from the drama of inevitably unpopular decisions. Just my 2c.

the ethics panel is to make the decision. The players not on the ethics panel are not doing any harm. It is better to see both sides of it than just one side.

@Viking I think Beren was specifically talking about Cowboy since he is organizer of the event and has a position of authority. The rest of us are free to say whatever and have it be ignored by the panel.

Whether or not a season had CLOT or not shouldn't be a factor in the panel deciding this. It should be completely based on competitive balance and what the rule was intended to do, which is to prevent someone from hopping around to undermine the promotion/relegation process.

And i agree with Beren. Don't weigh in Cowboy. Just provide facts and context and let the panel decide.
