From the very start I knew there would be a few trolls signing up for teams they don't belong to. That's why I simply stated in the rules: "Everyone is free to choose which country/region he wishes to represent. If you want to sign up a troll team, you'll waste your own time, not mine." I wasn't going to bother to even try and control it. Too much effort, I thought.

Unsurprisingly, we got team Ireland. Still, I was going to allow it. Although there also were a few real Irishmen genuinely interested in participating. I contacted Plat, he told me they could get poached by team UK because he's making his own dream team.

And that's where it should have ended. They trolled a bit, I trolled along, everything was fine.

But because we're dealing here with the lame variety of trolls, it did not end here. Making a single joke is not the goal. You kids demand constant attention and won't settle for anything less. So since I did not react to team Ireland, you started pushing the line. Now you want Ireland 2, by contacting Irish players who were told to join team UK. So now they're confused why they're changing from team Ireland to team UK to team Ireland again, I need to be in contact with them, Mudder's plans got thrown out the window because he was told he was free to include them in his team. I'm done dealing with this. It turned out to be more effort than just not allowing trolls to play from the start.

So I'm removing team Ireland from the spreadsheet.
Mudderducker becomes the only captain of team UK+Ireland. If you're an Irishman willing to participate, you can contact him, but whether or not he includes you is up to him.

all the extra work he did was caused by him himself. he didn't need to place the wrong flag and especially ban us when we did nothing wrong.

I don't see the crime in wanting to make a 2nd Irish team, believe it or not, but it wasn't to piss you off. We created a separate discord server and was having fun getting to know the other Irish players. Is the idea of trying to make a 2nd team ban worthy? Germany and the Netherlands did it.. Hell France did it 3 times!

It's a shame you decided to ban team Ireland because we were really looking forward to taking part in your tournament regardless of what you believe our intentions are.

I think this decision is unfair and I would like to appeal to it. I'd, however, like to issue an apology to any inconvenience you think we caused.

But please don't let the idea of wanting to start a 2nd team kill the 1st team unfairly.

I'll repeat, every Irishman can contact Mudderducker to join the joint UK+Ireland team. It's not like Irish players are banned.

@Buns As the team captain, I didn't create any extra work for Rento honestly. We did everything that was legally correct to do!

For example, Ralph to transfer to Ireland he mailed to Rento to confirm that decision. That's 1-2 mails of work, right?

I might've pinged him or another member to ask Rento to change the flag of Ireland to an actual flag of Ireland, (It was a cartoon character) I think it's a fair request?

Then the last mail thread was the ones he did at the beginning, he asked for permission of UK players to poach the Irish players. I said yes because I think it's the player's decision who they want to play for, may I just add Hazlenut and DrowningManatee both expressed a desire to play for Ireland first. Why should they play for the UK if they want to play for Ireland?

The only other contact was when I was talking to Rento regarding his action to tell the Irish players that they would get risked getting banned if they played for Ireland, I simply told him to express his concerns to me and we can work on a solution. He later just banned us straight out.

I was open to dialogue and working out any solution to any possible problem Rento could possibly have!

Regardless, I wish the competition best of luck but I did feel I needed to shed light on what I think is frankly an unfair banning masked by personal bias.

I don't want to disrupt the competition any more than needed. That wasn't the goal but just simply putting 1/2 things straight! We were looking forward to playing and wanted to display disappointment.

It looks to be some cracker of competition and no need for a bit of drama to ruin that image.

this is discrimination and you are violating my freedom of playing for the team I want.

You are forcing irish players to play for a hybrid team of UK+Ireland (which is the only one of the kind of the registered teams so far) to please your master apollo while there were 2 irish teams which you banned for no reason at all.

the team had no purpose of trolling despite what your lynx gang convinced you to think. We just wanted to play fair and square and hopefully win, but due to your trolling we are not able to do that now. I hope you have a nice time organizing the cup.

Alex and Kurd are playing for Germany because they have been living in Germany for the biggest part of their lifes.

Signups end in only 7 days! Keep in mind that you can sign up your team now and then make any changes you like until October 12th. It's better than missing the deadline because I won't be accepting late signups. On October 13th I'm going to create round 1 games already.

Another thing to keep in mind is that even if you have a full 6-player team, you can put a player or two on a bench and have other people play extra games instead, as explained in the spreadsheet. If you want to do that, you need to inform me before October 12th as well. Otherwise I'll assume that all 6 players play 2 games each

There seems to be some misunderstanding/misrepresentation by Rento, so I'd like to clarify a few things.

The Ireland team was not created to troll Rento. I thought it'd be nice to play on a team with plat in something and this seemed like it could be a good chance. We were serious about playing, perhaps even for top spot. Rento himself said that players can play for wherever their hearts are. 'Legally', there are no rules saying I can't play for team Ireland if I wish to do so. I believe Rento was going to allow us to play as well which is quite nice of him. He even went out of his way to make a "special" flag for us which I enjoyed tbh.

Now, supposedly what triggered Rento's ban was the desire for an Ireland B. The Irish players DrowningManatee and Hazlenut wanted to switch from the UK team to join an Irish B team. Any nonbelievers can mail them to ask them. It's not like plat was making an Irish B team to troll Rento or whatever. The players themselves wanted it. Plat was simply the one organizing it since he was the captain of team Ireland. So on the Ireland B matter, any justification for a ban seems to be a bit of a farce.

Now if you wanted to ban Ireland because most of them happen to be on your blacklist and they like to throw rocks and stuff at your window, I can totally understand that.

I actually live in Western Australia, but I use Nord VPN and the nearest server it connects too is Singapore :( They stopped using Aussies servers for some strange reason (Maybe our strict laws lol ) :( but I am in ....

A normal team Ireland, in this case team B, getting banned and having to play for UK is stupid and Rento should know better.

Everyone in the community knows that the relationship between Outlaws and Lynx/101 is ... strained. One should have low expectations for most interactions between members of those groups. Too much history.

@FSG it looks a bit like you were the quota non-troll. To qoute you "The Ireland team was not created to troll Rento.". But if you then look at the posts in this thread the outcome seems to be very much trolling.
That being said if Rento gave you a troll flag from the beginning he has to partly blame himself.
