I'm currently ranked #842 in the quickmatch global leaderboard. In specific templates I'm #128 in Small Earth 1v1 Auto Dist and #303 in Small Earth 1 wasteland, the only templates I really play. I specialize in Small Earth 1v1 Auto Dist, where I've even managed to beat the current top 2 players, HI ITISKOREA and Azhdaha6 in the past. Despite that, I'm nowhere near them, or all the other top ladder players, in consistent results. I feel as if I've reached a ceiling in how much I can improve by myself. I'm looking to find a tutor, someone who's a better and more experienced player to teach me about the game.

Feel free to send me a message if interested.

Don't look too much at QM rating. It's a lot of an activity score more then a raw competitive rank. Most of the competitive warzone is played elsewhere.

Don't try to get good at small earth. It's terrible for learning deeper strategy. To get good at the ladder, play the ladder games ;)

That being said, it sounds like you are looking for a clan? Plenty good clans here. Also as a starting point, make sure you know all the stuff in the MH guide for 1v1 ladder play http://tinyurl.com/MH-strategy-guide.

Apart from your clan training and stuff, regularly watch Ladder games of top ranked players, AWP games, CL games and other such competitive events.

Thinking about it I disagree here to the point that I see small earth as probably the very best template to learn the game.

- Precise calculations needed.
- Every turn which you don't see your opponents full deployment you have to have a precise model about what is going on behind the fog.
(- Regarding the cyclic move order some players have too easy patterns in their play which you can learn to abuse.)

Most players can somehow offset their weak game understanding by having a couple thousand games of experience. However if they then struggle at small earth this shows that they are just throwing armies around without having ever learned to calculate a situation properly through.
