Hello fellow Warzoners/lighters,

It's about time to announce the 2nd edition of Warzone Open!
Last years meeting was a blast, so we want to repeat the event ;)

Big shoutout to ps, Huizinga, krunx, master of desaster, Timinator, Melethron, MaikMcJuggle, linberson
We've planned to organise Warzone Open 2.0 around early March 2019.


Are you interested?
The idea is to have one weekend with severeal tournaments, mostly teamgames, players from different countries, live-streams, live-tournaments where the global community can participate.
target group
players from central europe, global audience via stream
DE, PL, CH, FR, IT, UK, NL, SE etc

Last years venue:
c-base
hackerspace

concrete costs (around 25-60 Euros for a young and solid A&O-Hostel, depending on eight-person to single dorm for the 2 nights; 20 euros participation fee)
ideas:
A joint room in the A&O Hostel would make the stay there bearable

meal:
“Schmuck's Restauration Kaffee" proved as a very cheap, but friendly place to eat (5-10 euros) for breakfast and lunch.

Although Germany is great, there will be other locations you can host from.

As nobody stepped up with another location, we're aiming for Berlin again with 2-3 possible venues. Feel free to join the organisation for another city this or next year.

Too far for me, but I’ll definitely be hanging out over twitch!

I would come if it was held in the Netherlands. Berlin is mainly closer for Polish people, but if it's held in the Netherlands, it will be closer for people from France and England too and it will still be quite close to Germany.

Host it in Groningen and I've got 2 places free to sleep. I'll try to save up more money this year and actually make it.

might show up again if the dates are settled well in advance to ensure the flight is cheap :)

Any objections to early March?

I know most german students have exams either beginning of february or end of march, so I guess it would be a fit for the german students.
Not sure about other countries...

it looks cool but im not flying to the eu it would cost way to much.

probably because for most people the location will be leading whether they will attend or not
