The US modified Trench Guns in WW1 to slamfire to clear trenches faster, this is a modified model obviously.

My point still stands. In order to fire, the trigger needs to be pulled. Difference is that it wont be resetted after every shot. It's kinda like a mix of full-automatic and pump-action.
