6.9% I surrender and abandon the game but my surrender is not accepted Early on I got booted from a bunch of multidays because I forgot to set a vacation I intentionally get booted so I'll have an AI and not neutrals
1: deppression and not feeling like eating, watching vidya, playing games, etc for like a week 2. losing interest in the game 3. losing too many games in a short time and not feeling like playing anymore 4. i dont feel like finishing my turn after i surrendered awhile back but the enemy didnt accept and im rekt.
Mainly from somewhat big games that I want to capitulate in but the host forgot to put instant capitulation and there's always somebody who doesn't accept it (idk why capitulation to be accepted by all players is default) and so I just let myself get booted from them. I also took an unexpectedly long break November 2015-January 2016, which led to me getting booted from about 40 games.
Sometimes I join games with very different boot times, so keeping track of getting near the boot limit becomes hit & miss for my memory. Other times I just have a really busy couple of days that I didn't anticipate and somehow don't make it in time.
I will admit to occasionally biting off more than I can chew, but it's honestly just those unexpected busy periods that get me the most. Should probably play fewer games, which I do now, but eh. Sometimes the only way to maintain interest is feel like I have a few new games alongside the older ones.
Almost all of them in the first few month's I played, because I was a pure Real Time Diplomacy player with shit internet, which would constantly get me booted because I'd be unable to commit my orders.
11,500 games, 45 boots. 0.3%. I rarely get booted, and it's never happened to me in a multi day game. You join a game, you should try to play it to completion.
15 of them were when I first started playing, and just didn't understand enough to care about RT games. 10 of them were when warlight or my wife crashed and it was autoboot. The other 20 were real time games that I joined and forgot about. Those make me angry. But they are pretty rare.
People who have 20% boot rates or higher shouldn't be allowed to join any games but 1v1's, until they get their boot rate down.
