Biggest flaw right here. Half the forum page is gone and the same on OT, the hidden threads need to be pushed down and the older ones moved up or something else. The troll threads are gone but now there is just a hole.

It was made so people can exert their "I don't like this post, this shouldn't exist" mentality. It's a flaw it itself, specially because quality is relative. What someone might see as a dumb post in the OT can be seen as a funny comment that got someone else a giggle.

I think there should be some long-term human moderation and possibly some automated smarts involved.

-Review threads that get numerous up/down votes from the same IP.

-Weight votes from the IP review differently that unique individual votes, especially if there is indication that the same person is controlling the votes.

-Review posters that have a certain number/percentage of threads down-voted for fairness, and possibly adjust their posting limits. For example, if over 50% of your posts are shot down (and reviewed by a moderator), then you can only post anything on the forum 1x/hour.

-If 3x of your threads in a row are shut down, no new threads until you can get a warning/cleared by moderator.

+1 pooh. Some extra development for the feature would make it less "broken" or have real penalties other than throwing dirt under the carpet.
