He is not making a good faith attempt to finish this game, and the season ends tomorrow. It's a close game that could go either way, but not finishing will win him the tiebreaker most likely. And this will win him the season.

This is especially rich because he reported me for stalling earlier (I wasn't) which got me accused of cheating by fizzer.

I will make every attempt to finish this game today to have a legitimate result, but this brings up major problems in my mind with how the seasonal ladder works.

Sucks for ya man. I don't think vacations should be permitted neither. I won't be able to finish my last seasonal game because my last adversary took vacations at a crucial point of the game (doesn't mean he stalls though) where I think I had positional advantage...There are obviously flaws in the way seasonal are configured in my opinion.

It is quite sad because Mister T could lose some crucial points against you in his last seasonal if he would lose to you. In a way, I can see why he would want to "stall" his last game as he have nothing to gain from your ongoing game and everything to lose. Like Bayern said, ongoing games in seasonal should be finished.

I would add that people that take vacations at the end of seasonal like my actual opponent did should be booted out and their adversary declared the winner of the game. Actually, given the present system, Mister T should have taken vacations to make it less suspicious if he is actually stalling your ongoing game.

If a game doesn't finish then a winner gets decided by some formula taking into account the income situation and the armies on board. If someone really goes for such a win, they will, for example, not start a new bonus last turn.

MisterT appears to be playing faster though?? Don't see a problem here, although I can see your frustrations with him stalling near the end of the season

Also @ACLTears would you mind sharing why you'd think he'd win the tiebreaker (visible armies, your income, his income etc)? (you don't have to of course, but it may change my opinion on his last turn "stall" depending on what you say)

It is not the first time a GG player stalls in order to secure first position in the seasonal ladder.

I dont like any stalling behaviour but even if misterT would be stalling ACL got no position to complain. Once he was winning with the income/army ratio he was taking 2day plus for every turn. He didnt respond to chat, mail or whatsoever from misterT and suddenly when fizzer mails him that his stalling could lead to a win being taken away he started taking turns faster.

Now it turns out bad for you you start crying about him stalling. Dont get me wrong guys, I hope the game gets finished before seasonal ends but lets not make a big deal of a cheater accusing someone else of cheating when he gets a taste of his own medicin

EDIT: yeah timon... cant say i like or approve what JV did there :/

ACL Tears is famous for playing slow... Also MisterT seems to like playing slow. Maybe nobody ever stalled this game at all?

The two people I'm currently in-game seasonal with have been stalling for weeks now, it's very aggravating.

I think Farah has me beat, though I'd like to take a couple turns and see if I could maybe do a comeback. But he delays it 'till the last second before actually taking his turn. I probably have Min34 beaten, but he delays 'till last second and went on vacation a few days ago to drag out the game further I believe. I'd rather people actually play the game so I could get more games, regardless if I win/lose them. It's just a rank jesus christ man.

You dont get more games in seasonal when you finish them faster. And I know farah and min both as very slow players ALL the time. Their position in seasonal make stalling pointless anyway so i highly doubt it is because of that. Besides they are both dutch as me and summer vacation just started here so min taking a vacation seems completely legit right now

It's stalling, it's not being slow. They're purposefully making a point to take their turn before they can get booted. Almost every time before they take their turn, it's at 2 days and 23 hours. I occasionally check their profile and they login to WarLight daily, several times sometimes. There's a difference between being slow and not taking your turn until the last second on purpose.

Filthy scum, you better watch your filthy mouth. This is Farah, he might now have a master dog tag, but he learned his fair play from the Miezekatze Hunters.

Once a Miezekatze Hunters, always a fair player: https://www.warlight.net/MultiPlayer?GameID=10147864

Also you usually don't call it stalling if you are winning...

MisterT is averaging 16-hour turns, with only 1 of them (the picking turn) taking longer than 12 hours.

It's just this one turn so far (still significant, 'cause we're 1 day from the ladder's finish). Guess we'll know with a lot more certainty real soon once we see what was behind that fog.

There are a lot of reasons for slow play that are not stalling. I understand that I'm generally a slow player, but I don't have unlimited time to play warlight, with a busy career, family, and other interests. At the beginning of this particular game, I was on vacation in Tobago and had absolutely terrible internet access.

The fact that MisterT played the beginning of this game faster than me does not excuse his stalling now. Actually, it makes it worse. And as for not responding to his chat, so what? He sent a barrage of messages between turns that I didn't even read until after I got an email from fizzer.

I know fizzer has made adjustments when others have abused the system, and I hope he does it here. I'd like to play it out because it is a good game and it could go either way.

If there's a lot of reasons for slow play that are not stalling, then why are you accusing MisterT of playing one turn slow "stalling", since there could be other reasons why. Maybe he was busy in real life ? or maybe this turn put him in a tough position and he just has to think more ? I wouldn't call this stalling just because he is playing one turn too slow. The fact that you are calling a player out just because he takes a long time on one turn makes no sense at all. It makes even less sense to call a person out on stalling when his move speed is faster than yours in the game. MisterT - 16 hours vs. ACL Tears - 1 day 7 hours. I understand that you said at the beginning of the game, you were on vacation and had no internet access, but who knows maybe misterT had some busy and important thing to do in real life that is slowing down the game. Anyways I think its really selfish of you for calling out a player for playing slow as he has been playing faster than you up until turn 6. I see no stalling at all and I honestly don't know why this is even a forum post at all.

Don't be ridiculous. It's the last day of the season. He claimed in chat he wanted to finish the game. He's a hypocrite for not doing so and changing his behavior to make sure the game doesn't end on time.
