So before saying anything else, let me clarify that I was not in this game, I don't know what's going on with this scenario, and I'm only posting this here because the comments made by some of the members of the Nights Watch are a little... unjustifiably aggressive. Chem didn't care enough to post anything, but I figured these guys could use the publicity. Also, this isn't really an attack on the clan The Nights Watch. I've never played with any of these people so idk. Mainly just addressing this 3 people.

This is the game in question, and do note in the settings where it says "NON-RP HATEFUL WORDS/COMMENTS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED." Just to add irony.

Then about a day later, Chem receives these messages, which can really only be described as hate mail.

"I heard that you have a problem with this scenario, and as a member of the development team I ask that you suck it the fuck up and enjoy the game. We weren't trying to make it realistic and we made that clear before the game started. If you think you know so much better then I offer you to make your own fucking scenario and not poison our games with your shit"

I'm not trying to call Fizzer down, or even call for any action against these people. Frankly, we're all adults and we should all be able to deal with someone telling us that they wish we were aborted. W/e. My own clan has come under fire for being too mean to people.
But grow up, guys. This is so goddamn childish. Someone criticizes your game so you tell them to kill themselves? Not even a jokey "kys fgt" but a full on paragraph long rant about how dumb you are, backed up by 2 other people? I'm all for being complete assholes as long as we're civilized about it. This is juvenile behavior. I can tolerate obscenity, but not childishness.

Not to stoke the fire here, but ime the Night's Watch are a less reputable clan than they appear at first. I've been in a few diplos with them and their behavior was fairly opportunistic, aggressive, and frankly undiplomatic. Definitely not my style nor the style of conventional diplomacy.

This is the problem with clan sponsored diplos,it makes clan members a bit bias,and it creates this mob mentality,where the clan guys ally and just piss of the rest of the players.

Wow, this is really a shocking read. I have no idea what they mean by development team, but that is completely unacceptable.
Our clan does not tolerate that kind of hate speech, which Is why they took it upon themselves to send it privately. I will speak with the other clan leaders on what course of action to take. And I believe I speak for my fellow clan leaders when I say we apologize for that.
I know when one joins a diplomacy game, the players attitudes around you heavily influence the atmosphere. If you have any complaints in the future, private message one of us clan leaders and we'll take care of it.

I'd like to defend the actions of myself and the other members of the development team. I'd like to mention the amount of work myself and everyone on the dev team put into every one of these games and there is always someone who goes out of their way to complain about the game and I got annoyed, I would like to apologize if he was offended by what I said, I understand I may have gotten carried away. I don't like what I said, but I stand by what I meant as it is incredibly hard to make these games and have people not appreciate the work that has been put in. In this case, we had been working on this game for more than a week and he was quick to point inaccuracies out even though we made it clear before the game was made that it wasn't realistic. Also, Legend always says that you may change the scenario that has been given to you if you like, and you are not forced to play the game as it is given to you. I didn't mean to hurt anyone with my comments and I'm sorry if I did, but you must also look at the side of us developers. Thank you

Bruh, I mentioned only one minute thing. One thing out of the entirety of the game. I'd get it if you got mad about me trashing the entire game or its creators, but that's not what I did. It's pretty silly to go about the way you guys did over such a tiny thing. I've appreciated every other game beforehand; this one minute critique is nothing. Also, the only reason it was "quick to point out" was because it was my background info, which is the very first thing I get as the game begins. It has nothing to do with me wanting to come after you guys or anything. And lastly, none of you gave me the opportunity to change. In some form or another, I was told to just deal with what I was handed by most of you. If I came off harsh with Legend, then I'd completely understand, but I just want it clear that in no way, shape, or form did I mean to trash on the entire game and the work you all put into it.

As a member of the Dev team for the game in question 'Nights Watch Clan Mystery GoT- 2.0' Hosted by Legend, I feel obligated to respond.

The basic idea of the game was to take the idea of a "What If" scenerio where we altered the A Song of Ice and Fire timeline. To make it easier for players to grasp the timeline I built a timelime of canon events up to the point where they were altered. To save space on this post i will give an exerpt of said Timeline.

In the development of this game Legend had left me in charge of the timeline. We had discused canon events that did not happen to create the scenerios we created. I clearly stated in the timeline that I posted that if you have any questions to contact me. By the time Chem had Pm'd me he was allready agitated with the other members of the Dev team.

As i have seen more compleate screenshots of the conversations that took place between members of the Dev team and Chem, the Dev team had told Chem that they had not made an alternate history of events. (Although it was not as nice as that).

As an independant player with no clan ties to NWC i must say that the clan hate on this forum is uncalled for, I also do not condone the actions of the Dev team in how they treated chem. I also understand that this is not the first issue that Legend and Chem have had over the games Legend has hosted.

I have played in every mystery game Legend has hosted and there is always some salt as to how a player roleplays a canon character or how some events shouldnt be the way they are ect. Most people love Legends mystery games, and as someone who helps him out with custom scenerios for each slot I appreciate the amount of hard work put into them and also realise that not everybody will be happy with what goes on. I must also point out that most of the games are filled by invite.

To finaly make my point, this has gone to far on all sides to have this be made a public issue on the site forum. I have faith that the Nwc will adress this issue amongst their own clan leadership, well with the members that are apart of this and their clan.

I'd just like to point out that of the "problems" Legend has had with me, I knew of none of them till like 30 minutes ago.

As a member of the dev team, a new function made to aid in game developement as of the latest in the series, I'd also like to respond. I and chem have had a similar issue with provided information. The games are intended for you to seek out the information and learn details. For example the sixth game in the series, borders haven't changed in six turns and I'm told the roleplay in those games is some of the most intricate and fun of any for the king and those working with him. I had no idea and have no idea what's going on XD. Anyway, I'm sure chem was asking an honest question and didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings. Legend's decision to screenshot that decision and show it to the dev team may have not been wise, but as a guy who has ALSO been in every one of these mystery games and worked with legend closely, I'm certain he just meant that post as a joke or comment on a mistake made. Now the three hate mail senders. E. E put a lot of work in this game and was understandably angry to have it questioned. However seeking out chem to tell him he was an ass for that questioning was in my opinion a bit too far. Robert is not in the nw clan, but like myself and atlas, is on the dev team regardless. He also put an ungodly amount of work into this and wrote many of the character scenarios too. Similar to e, justifiably angry, but went too far in my opinion. Headshots. This is the easiest to explain, he's 14 and on the internet :p. He also put lots of work into this and I'm sure he wanted to show off his... Vocabulary. To all three of these people, I'd like to clarify I mean no offense and I respect and care for all three of you. Lastly to chem, I'm sorry this happened. I hope this doesn't hurt your opinion of the games.
