Did you ever wonder where the term "Americans" came from? Europeans, specifically the British, started calling natives and then European settlers here, Americans, all the way back to the 17th century, if not earlier. Why fix what ain't broke?

Also, inhabitants of the USA definitely ARE "americains", as are Canadians, Brazilians, Panamanians, etc etc etc. We're all Americans on this/these American continent(s).

As far as I can tell, most top players are in college. College is really expensive. A lot of people I know (who would be very good at this game) work while going to school and don't really have time for warlight.

Let me rephrase my statement then: I identify first and foremost as Texan. While I acknowledge that I also happen to be an American, it is far less consequential than the fact that home for me is Texas.

To the dimwits who don't understand that America is not the name of the country, it's the United States of America. Are you crying about South Africa being a country? Or North and South Korea - each of which are referred to as 'Korea'?

There is a North and South America. The only people in 2016 who refer to all of that as 'America' are dumbasses trying to insult the United States because of its name. Or some people in other languages, which might be the problem here. In Spanish for example 'America' is a thing. In English it's not. In English we have 'The Americas' or 'North and South America' nobody just says 'America' to refer to it all.
