Gnuffone who is in WG nowadays has been cheating on ladders in the past as well and that has been proven. Why should Chris ban M'Hunters for that fact and not his own clan as well then.

Whoa. M'Hunters aren't responsible for enforcing ladder rules, and they shouldn't be forced/expected to kick out a player on their CL roster for unethical behavior that has zero impact on CL8.

This sort of expectation would set a very bad precedent.

If you're a competitive clan and think you deserve the title, you should act like it. If your players aren't playing by the rules, you don't deserve to compete. Simple as that.
