All black to me just looks boring and unappealing. The colour made the map really pop, so to say.

The coloured one makes the countries more destinct and looks better.

The grey version in my opinion is very bland and boring, as compared to the vibrant coloured version which allows for easier perception of true borders and divisions.

This will be one of the best Warlightmaps and the best diplomap man. I will instanly create a Custom Szenario once you finish it. Good work :)

I should be done with development pretty soon, and then i'll have to do some testing at least. I've just got those little bits of africa and south america to finish up :)

I do think that most maps look pretty boring and bad with just black, but mine uses a magical blue background and a slightly less boring color than black. But like i said I'll have to see what it looks like when It's done, but I really do want to do this.

Well, I decided it's too much work to redo all 900 territories, so going back to development on my colored version:

I may finish developing the gray version and publish it as a seperate map, as I really do think it looks better. I'm definitely going to finish up the colored version first though.

I also prefere the colored one more than the black one. If you need someone who test the map just tell me i will do that.

I'll probably split india and pakistan some more just to reflect all the people living there. I'm not sure that It makes any sense to redo australia though. The territories are already comparable to the ones in the sahara and eastern china in size, IE larger than most others on the map.

I'm sure there will be plenty of broken connections for you to find during testing zeph :D

I am also in favor of the grey version, but it is no big deal. ^^

Still think the new zealand claims to antartica need to be connected (and if possible, antartica has to give negative bonuses)

By the way, don't know if it was already mentioned before but
'Dresden' would be located in the Berlin-area,
your western territory mainly contains the cities of Frankfurt(,Mainz, Wiesbaden or Saarbrücken..)
but it's up to ^^

just a general suggestion, island, and continental travel should be made easier. also, Canary islands should be connected to africa, also Hawaii-Tuvalu is a broken bonus.

Not sure what you mean by that. Do you mean easier as in simpler, like there should be less connections? Or perhaps you want even more connections than now? Do you maybe think the lines need to be easier to see by making them bigger/a different color?

I mean there should be even more connections than there are now. also, when will the next update to the map be saved? I have been watching it closely since I first saw this thread, the hype is insane!
