The Internet also seems pretty gender segregated, with males and females originally separating due to differing interests and societal expectations. Which leads to a pretty bad feedback loop where this isolation (and large tendency toward gender disparity in the niche communities that form the social Web) reinforces presumptions about the other gender (e.g., "girls who play WL are weird") and often invites trolling and circlejerking which further promotes these presumptions (e.g., Godfrey Elfwick on feminists) by repeating them and often ridiculing people who challenge them. Gender segregated environments also often lead to the "Otherization" (to steal terms from po-mo lit that I never actually read) of the other sex/gender and open the door to misogyny/misandry/general lack of consideration for largely absent groups (e.g., "lol woman = pussy. ay bby u wan sum fuk?" or my old clan's leader's absence being explained as "the Shogun is visiting his harem"). All of this combines to alienate and create barriers to entry for already underrepresented groups.
Seems like an interesting structural problem, part of the bigger issue of the Internet often serving to divide people by allowing us to solely form communities with people who believe what we do and are very similar to us, to the point that people even slightly unlike us become completely alien.

Sometimes I get really sick of not fitting the mold of what people expect of a girl. I don't fit in as a girl because I'm too different. I don't completely fit in with the guys because they still see me as a girl. I avoid all of that in online forums by letting people assume I'm a guy. As an added plus, it helps keep my identity anonymous.

Reichfuhrer Lillie , Konakona,Dame de Belgique,FoxyToxy, Adolf Hitler (now is Tojo Hideki), Makhnovchina,Tutaknoph are some of them i had the pleasure to play .And why not girls on warlight. Same said the people about the women in army.

No it doesn't. And that's the exact problem that many people have no clue how to deal with. Effectively, when it comes to WarLight, male and female are the same. Neither gender affect how people play the game, or how they should be treated, which is why it is ridiculous when people use that for ridiculing, because we are all human.

You can't really tell unless they make it obvious. I'm female, but I like to use gender neutral names online because it cuts down on some of the non-sense.

Despite claims by some people that Warlight is riddled with racism and sexism, it's actually pretty harmonic here. I've rarely noticed either in any of the games that I've played and anyone who makes a sexist/racist comment on the forums gets blasted away by at-least seven different people.
On the rest of the internet, it seems that women aren't discriminated against so much as it's hard for any female to convince others that they are one. (I.E: The common "There are no girls on the internet" rule)

Warlight's misogyny and racism are so pervasive and commonplace indeed that people don't even realize their existence. Lucky for you, I am here to point it out.
It's sad that people have to hide the fact that they're females. Ive never had anyone asked me what gender I am. Maybe because I'm so blatantly feminine that people just know. There have been quite a few top players that are female, but is that really what people are thinking when they join a game?
