So, recently I was looking for a thread from the past, and I somehow failed to find it. I'm pretty sure that I searched for correct words, tried multiple different phrases that I remembered I saw there, and still nada. I think I remember I had similar problems in the past, I also know someone who noticed that issue too, so I think it might be good idea to look into it.

On top of that, I have to say I never really liked the way search forum worked, it looks awful. Not as awful as Europe map, but it's close.

So, I really would like to see this feature improved somehow. Any thoughts?

I've personally been using google and sticking "Warlight" at the end of my search. Hasn't failed me yet.

But yes, the forum search system does need a bit of love at some point.

Maybe you should be able to search for threads started by player name as well.
But yes this feature needs to be fixed

@MrHymen Never tried that before, but in few tries couldn't find the thread I was looking for either. My point stay valid, I think it would be nice to see some better searching tool.

@Kain Flowers are nice, but they are cheap. Is that all you can do in the name of love? Was expecting more.

@The Defiler If I knew I wouldn't need to look for it, would I? Finding that thread is not the point of this thread.

Thsi wasn't mentioned to be the answer for "more love". Instead I was rather trying to cope with your statement that:

The fact that they were placed to fulfill your sublime esthetic requirements doesnt restrict them from being love-bounded

If you give me the keywords you searched I might be able to find it.... A lot of important/useful threads I have typed up in my notes.

I would like to be able so see:

1.Number of posts any player has made, visible on their profile:
2. All my posts
3. All threads I have created
4. All threads I have posted in.
5. Search any player up for their posts/threads. (Might be an option to opt out, the same way you can hide your stat.)

Yes, I really need "Threads I've posted in" to more easily keep track of things I've talked in, more specifically "Threads I'm in which have been posted in."

That would be sweet...

Also if you want to search it's always going to be better to use Google, no matter how good the search here is.

The search here is Google, though. It just takes whatever you type in and appends site:warlight.net/Forum at the end.

(The "friends" I have on Warlight are smart enough to know that this is long overdue.)

Most fora allow to "follow" threads;
with a setting for automatically following any threads a user has posted in
with possibility to turn on/off following for each thread in the forum.
