Sometimes randomness can upset even the most skilled predictions. These were my odds for Biomes 1v1 in the previous Clan League:



I ended up winning 4 out of 6 games. But the probability of winning 4 or more was just ~0.00142, or about 1 in 704! I hope my incredible good fortune continues this year ;)

Calculation: Write p_1 = 0.08, p_2 = 0.10, ..., and p_6 = 0.17.
Then my chance of winning all games was p1 p2 ... p6 = 0.0000009792, about one in a million.
My chance of winning exactly 5 games was (1-p1) p2 ... p6 + p1 (1-p2) p3 ... p_6 + ..., a total of ~0.000058, or 1 in ~17295.
The chance of winning exactly 4 games was (1-p1) (1-p2) p3 ... p6 + ..., a total of ~0.0014, or 1 in ~734.

It was I who underestimated Seraph, I had no idea what his skill level was when I made those predictions lol. Gotta say it was definitely an impressive performance, should be interesting to see who ends up being the massive surprise this season.

It was either not accurate, too, or I misplayed; at least I felt at a later point in the game that my win was not secure. Great performance last CL, Seraph, and good luck next CL!
