Using the link above and format:

with the * removed.

I have done so below but it does not appear correctly:

What you linked to is the webpage for the album or image, rather than the image itself

The image itself is https://i.ibb.co/7tRtXjfD/MTL-Templates-Random.jpg

You can get the image link from the context menu (right mouse click or long press on phone):



E.g. the image above is https://i.imgur.com/RKhLMzE.png , not the imgur album (https://imgur.com/a/SoCTobL) or the link imgur gives when you use Copy Link (https://imgur.com/RKhLMzE)

It is a little longwinded on Android to get the different version of the link you mentioned but I got there in the end :) Had to long click and open image in new tab then copy that link from my browser.

Imgur seems to be blocked in UK which is unfortunate for us. The website I used seems to work fine thankfully!

the trick is:
you need a link that ends on ".png" or ".img" or similar. It is even possible to post gifs if the link between the ends with ".gif" but you can see gifs only in the browser
