Hello!

Every week we vote on 5 maps, and the map with the most votes becomes the map of the week for the following week.

Go here to vote: https://www.WarLight.net/MapOfTheWeek/View?Week=10

You can use this thread to discuss the current vote. Tell us why you voted the way you did!

I think you should put the maps in alphabetical order, so that is easier to nominate a map, to save us scrolling through all of them trying to find the right one.

Issander's World for me. Fantastic map, really huge but yet balanced and almost without bugs.

@Apollo, Forgive me if i'm wrong as I don't know if it works or not :P Anyway, on the map page you can use Ctrl+f to find a map by name. Have you tried that for nominating?

Last week was very close, 84 to 81 voters. I wonder if this week well be as close (proably not :p)

Not sure if that actually works, haven't tried it. But not everyone knows how to do that, I just think it would be easier for people this way and its a very straight forward update. I don't nominate myself, but I think it would be welcomed by others.

Thx Timinator for nominating my map, very close results indeed.

My opinion this week
1 fantastic map: Issander's Huge World (I love the maps of Issander, one of the best mapmakers), huge map, a lot of expansion space and fun to play. nice tactic to conquer the Islands an you can jump to another places on the Earth.
1 good map: Asia Population density (although still confusing bonusses)
2 maps I would not play: Poland, (very confusing bonusses and huge difference in bonus values which makes it not fair to play) there are far better maps of poland available
The World of Avatar (outline is terrible)
Bracketology is not my style of maps. I wouldn't play it. It is a ideal map for gamblers and lucky people...

I voted for Issander's Huge World.

I'm going for Issander's because it works good for diplomacy. (half of diplos are on this map lol.)

Huge World, due to the effort needed to create it. It's also good for multi-attack games.

Can't vote for Bracket (no creativity). Avatar map is messy (borders are pretty sloppy between bonuses). I have to vote for Huge World (even though I don't play it much) because it is well done.

Poland map - the bonuses are not unfair, it's just different than what people are used to.

I have a query. I remember when Map of the Week was first set up, it said that one of the maps would be chosen by members. At the start of this week, I noticed there were only four maps to choose, and then a thing at the bottom saying something like 'select a map.' So I chose Issander's Huge World, and then it immediately became one of the maps to vote for. I thought members were supposed to vote or something, but this would suggest that I alone chose which map it was for some reason. So, was this just a coincidence with me being the last member to vote, or is it really just one member chooses each week?

I chose Asia population density. A beautiful map, with no political fallacies. They actually worked on naming things, too (Just look at Afghanistan or anywhere outside of Europe and you'll see how poorly named it is).
