Ok, then...
As you decend to the watery depths of the Central Forest, a greusome sight awaits you. Like the Earth itself was trying to crush your force, there is a hideous smell of roasted Krayt flesh and sulphur. After seeing the frantic scratchings on the walls, you decide to flee.
As you escape the planet like rats from a ship, the planet explodes, cascading chunks of rock into space. Your second engine is hit. You have a 57% chance of making it to Galactic Control before it explodes, destroying everyone on board. Your second option is to use the escape pods, and destroy the ship using timed explosives once you reach a safe distance.
CHOOSE: 1. Attempt to make it. 2. Use escape pods.

Your crew's engineers remove the speed limiters. Your quite eccentric pilot amplifies all engines to maximum thrust. The shields are being battered by pursuing Desciple vessels. Here goes nothing!
Your vessel enters FTL speed. Unluckily for your crew, the Desciple vessels manage to keep up their pace with you. Throughout the chase, they manage to score a few shots that are distributed evenly on your armor.
" Captain, the shields are at critical! If we maintain course to Galactic Control, we're likely to be shot down by the Desciples! " Pilot Greg Nemoy exclaims. According to trajectory projections, it'll take another minute before you get to Galactic Control.
" If we don't break course, we're going to become space bits! " Your pilot once more says, and quite shakily. Time is running out fast, and our options are limited. Scanners report a few habitable worlds in a local star sector, the Galactic Control is still quite a long way's away and the nearest Gaian fleet is lightyears away!
You consider your situation, and decide on what to do .
DO YOU : A. Maintain course to Galactic Control B. Call off all your bets, and attempt to safely land in a nearby habitable world. C. Attempt to rendesvouz or connect with a Gaian Fleet. D. Face the Desciples head-on.
P.S. This will be the decision that decides where the narrative leads off to, so choose wisely.

Gunnery Officer J.F. Meeks is quick to return fire to the incoming Desciple vessels. The ship's shields continue to shrink from the onslaught of laser volleys.
" The shields are gone, I repeat : The shield are at 0%! " The pilot proclaims. A huge ruckus rocks throughout the ship and the sound reverberates through the wall. " Damage report, Nemoy! " You say. " Engineering has casualties across the board! Overloads are sparking up the entire interior! " " Dammit! ETA to Galactic Control? " " 25 seconds, Commander! " Entire control systems go up in flames across the Bridge. Crewmen are flung left and right, until the Artificial Gravity systems are blown to bits and everybody floats and knocks into each other. It's then that pieces of the hull are scraped off from laser shots, and are torn into the vacuum that is space. ESS ( Emergency Seal Systems ) can barely plug the holes that the Desciple shots put into the hull. Cabin pressure falls steadily ship-wide. You look at your crew members, and they look back at you. " Commander, the escape pods have been jettisoned forcefully by a Desciple virus program! Ship thrusters are losing power! The ship's energy is being completely re-routed to... what!? Our gun batteries! " Nemoy informs you. " The guns.. they're just blowing up! We're completely defenseless! " Meeks says. Ship speed plummets to 0, the gun batteries are all gone. The ship is effectively in dead drift. Mysteriously, the Desciples stop firing on you... ------ After a few hours of dead silent waiting, Desciple forces board the ship. After a short skirmish lasting only a few minutes, your ship's soldiers are gunned down. After some ruckus between the boarding Desciples, you are informed that you are now being impressed as crew of the Desciple flagship " Roozkelk ". After days of travel in space, you arrive at the Flagship. Your crew adjusts well to the new atmosphere in the ship, but off-the-ship, you are treated as slaves. ------ Many months pass, and the Roozkelk experiences dozens of battles. But after a very large battle, it's announced that the war is over, and that the Desciples now control the Milky Way Galaxy. All other races are inslaved and integrated into the Empire. You have failed Humanity, and Humanity has, in turn, failed the Galaxy.
THE END Play again? ( if so, start again from the first decision of the game )
