Your crew's engineers remove the speed limiters. Your quite eccentric pilot amplifies all engines to maximum thrust. The shields are being battered by pursuing Desciple vessels. Here goes nothing!

Your vessel enters FTL speed. Unluckily for your crew, the Desciple vessels manage to keep up their pace with you. Throughout the chase, they manage to score a few shots that are distributed evenly on your armor.

" Captain, the shields are at critical! If we maintain course to Galactic Control, we're likely to be shot down by the Desciples! " Pilot Greg Nemoy exclaims. According to trajectory projections, it'll take another minute before you get to Galactic Control.

" If we don't break course, we're going to become space bits! " Your pilot once more says, and quite shakily. Time is running out fast, and our options are limited. Scanners report a few habitable worlds in a local star sector, the Galactic Control is still quite a long way's away and the nearest Gaian fleet is lightyears away!

You consider your situation, and decide on what to do .

DO YOU :
A. Maintain course to Galactic Control
B. Call off all your bets, and attempt to safely land in a nearby habitable world.
C. Attempt to rendesvouz or connect with a Gaian Fleet.
D. Face the Desciples head-on.

P.S. This will be the decision that decides where the narrative leads off to, so choose wisely.

Calling in a holographic Sebasiten Vettel, you decide to use him to hopefully make it to Galactic Control before you blow up. Or miss the world and fly into the infiniti of space.

Gunnery Officer J.F. Meeks is quick to return fire to the incoming Desciple vessels. The ship's shields continue to shrink from the onslaught of laser volleys.

" The shields are gone, I repeat : The shield are at 0%! " The pilot proclaims. A huge ruckus rocks throughout the ship and the sound reverberates through the wall.
" Damage report, Nemoy! " You say.
" Engineering has casualties across the board! Overloads are sparking up the entire interior! "
" Dammit! ETA to Galactic Control? "
" 25 seconds, Commander! " Entire control systems go up in flames across the Bridge. Crewmen are flung left and right, until the Artificial Gravity systems are blown to bits and everybody floats and knocks into each other.
It's then that pieces of the hull are scraped off from laser shots, and are torn into the vacuum that is space. ESS ( Emergency Seal Systems ) can barely plug the holes that the Desciple shots put into the hull. Cabin pressure falls steadily ship-wide.
You look at your crew members, and they look back at you.
" Commander, the escape pods have been jettisoned forcefully by a Desciple virus program! Ship thrusters are losing power! The ship's energy is being completely re-routed to... what!? Our gun batteries! " Nemoy informs you.
" The guns.. they're just blowing up! We're completely defenseless! " Meeks says.
Ship speed plummets to 0, the gun batteries are all gone. The ship is effectively in dead drift. Mysteriously, the Desciples stop firing on you...
------
After a few hours of dead silent waiting, Desciple forces board the ship. After a short skirmish lasting only a few minutes, your ship's soldiers are gunned down. After some ruckus between the boarding Desciples, you are informed that you are now being impressed as crew of the Desciple flagship " Roozkelk ". After days of travel in space, you arrive at the Flagship.
Your crew adjusts well to the new atmosphere in the ship, but off-the-ship, you are treated as slaves.
------
Many months pass, and the Roozkelk experiences dozens of battles. But after a very large battle, it's announced that the war is over, and that the Desciples now control the Milky Way Galaxy. All other races are inslaved and integrated into the Empire. You have failed Humanity, and Humanity has, in turn, failed the Galaxy.

THE END
Play again?
( if so, start again from the first decision of the game )

So, without further adue...

Continue onto the Ramesses System, ignoring the distress signal.
Head back to the Zedong System.

Rule change : Due to lack of contribution, you can post as long as no double post.

You take note of the signal, and hail for a Gaian Patrol to investigate the signal.
After all, your problem is just to survey these worlds and investigate anomalies. Distress signals these days are just raids and skirmishes, are you aren't geared up for that.
And so, you continue your job, surveying planets.
--------------
After a few weeks, distress signals pop up across your dashboard.
The entire Gaian Federation is being invaded by the Desciples!
The Fleets are all regrouping at a nearby star cluster known as Thestos Eta. However, there are other groups of people, trapped behind enemy lines. There's also the mysterious signal being transmitted from the water world of Malho... Whatever you choose, keep in mind the lives that hang in the balance.

Regroup with the Gaian Fleets
Go on a Search and Rescue Operation
Explore the strange signal from Malho

As you spaceship screams through space (silently, cos there is no air), you traverse several light years on the way to the distress signal. As you approach, you send out your smaller ship to explore. At first, the planet looks more dead than the Adelaide Strikers' Big Bash aspirations, but after circling the planet you see seven survivors. Trouble is, your ship is based on an ancient "mini-van" from a long-forgotten time, and it only seats eight. And there are two people on board already. And there is a lot of very angry men with lasers about to attack them. You send out a radio signal telling everyone on the ground the situation. Unfortunately, no-one is killed in the resulting fight, which means you still have that tough choice. There are seven people:

A Politican, a member of Galactic Parliament

A Man From An Ethnic Minority

A Really Hot Woman

A Chef

An Engineer

Me

A Science Officer

Obviously, a choice awaits you. (the person you select is LEFT BEHIND AND DIES PAINFULLY IN HD, LIKE THE STRIKERS' BBL ASPIRATIONS)

A. Leave the Politican and get a long, tedious grilling when you get back.
B. Leave the man from an ethnic minority and get villified by the press for being racist.
C. Leave the woman behind and... yeah.
D. Leave the chef behind and have to live on sandwiches for the next two months.
E. Leave the engineer behind and have difficulty fixing problems on board. You don't have any right now, but you might...
F. Leave me behind and lose a great character.
G. Leave the science officer behind and be unable to record any scientifically important thing that will happen.
H. Sacrifice yourself bravely.
I. Push your co-worker out the window in an "accident"

The politician dies screaming as Master Chief shoots his head off and keeps it as an ornament. After doing something that only belongs in a blue film or GoT, you are attacked by pirates. You know that even with the general you don't have a chance of fighting them off. They board and give you a choice:

A. Join them. They offer you a place in their crew, a big mansion and whatever the space equivalent of an Audi R8 is, if you serve 20 years with them (and survive).

B. If you refuse to join them, then they will bundle you all in the escape pods, and they will send you on a scenic route to the nearest system. By the time you are recovered by the Galactic Army, you will have given them enough time to get away.

C. Fight them and die.

CHOOSE NOW OR DIE NOW!
