Div D is almost done, just 11 games remaining.

With all the clans merging in Div C (Vikingers into BIA and VIW into Blitz), there are probably enough slots in Div C for everyone next season. TBA is not a realistic clan to play next season, so with Vikinger and VIW gone, and 2 clans promoting, all 4 of you can move up.

So Clan League is going to have just 3 divisions? The event is dying. Such a shame.

Idle and the shitty 40 member cap are kinda killing clans.
From a business perspective, WZ is booming rn, but from a community perspective , not so much.

What cap are you talking about? For clans? I see Dark lords still has well over 700 members so that can't be what you mean.... something else?

an update not too long ago capped all new clans at 40 players. All clans that were made before that are grandfathered and will not have the cap. So a clan like VS or indeed darklords will not have this cap in place.

No ... the cap of 40 is irrelevant to me as I would never be in a clan that big. I have never been in a clan with more than 30 (G clan was my first clan and it was capped at 24 internally) and VS will never go that high (we are at 29 atm). If you are in a clan ...IMO... you should know everyone in the clan. That can't happen in a massive clan like DarkLords. I can tell you something personal about all of my clan members. What is the point of a 300-400 person clan?

The key is the difference between average and maximum. While 40 active people on average in the clan is a good number, having more space is absolutely vital for the clan's growth. Players in Warzone have a massive retirement rate. The rate is even bigger if you are not a famous clan that is recruiting experienced strategic players. Being able to recruit 40 people and accept these 5 who don't retire into your clan core is a huge help. Yes, your growth into ~30 active people is possible with the 40 member cap, but it is slower and you must be constantly recruiting, which is a far bigger nuisance, than recruiting lots of people in a short period of time, then wait who sticks.
No cap also allows you to have semi-active alts of experienced players (trainers) in the clan, not kick friends who went inactive.

I get what you are saying. I guess we just do it differently. We recruit slowly and have long period of working with a player before we accept them into the clan whereas you are talking about adding people en masse into the clan and then weed them out later.

Fair enough. I personally have no issue with a 40 player cap, but my way is not the same as others. Maybe a 60-70 person cap would be better.

40 players isn't limiting at all, in all fairness.

I'm considering it from my own experiences, here. Runescape's clans have a similar problem with loss of activity, but magnified; Runescape's players may stick around for a solid month or two before simply disappearing. Most clans that do survive employ the shotgun approach to recruiting, maxing out the clan size at 500 and then steadily removing inactive players to make space for newcomers. This level of churn does make sense to a clan's survival, so I can't disparage it.

That said, I have observed that when it comes to a clan actually -thriving-, it always comes down to the same things, over and over, in any game: the community's core players, sticking together and striving to make something great, together. And when all's said, you don't need 40 players for that, or 500; you can do that just as well with five.
