Haven't got the link to hand but the test is pretty shit. It weighed questions terribly. A page with me rating religion negatively made me left wing I think (as opposed to 5 pages of clearly not left-wing ideas).

Most questions are complete nonsense in my opinion and push you automatically to the left.

Just some random examples:
I'd always support my country, whether it was right or wrong.
--> I doubt that even Hitler would have agreed with this statement.

Our race has many superior qualities, compared with other races.
--> You don't use the term races when talking about humans any more. Why not "Our culture has,...". With the question asked like that you have to be quite extreme to agree.

The only social responsibility of a company should be to deliver a profit to its shareholders.
--> Try to make such an extreme statement in public as a manager and see what happens.

What's good for the most successful corporations is always, ultimately, good for all of us.
--> "always, ultimatively"... "good for ALL of us"... A hurricane is probably good for roofers but not for the guy dying in the storm.

I think it does push you left, I am conservative economically, but I guess im liberal socially, I believe the gays should have marriage, and marijuana should be legal to a degree. but foreign policy and economics im a strict conservative republican. Im a weird product of my generation, i think my generation will be like this when they come to power.
its like being a hardcore middle of the aisle kinda guy.

From what I'm seeing, it looks like most of us are moderate liberal socialists? Though as mentioned, the compass DOES push you left/liberal in a few questions, so I'm sure most of us are really in the middle. That's actually really awesome/interesting ; but while the test does have those questions, they don't pull ALL the weight, so clearly some of us really are moderate social libertarians.

Anyone know of a test that is perhaps more relevant to modern issues? I feel like this could actually be a pretty interesting topic if we had a better test...
