Hardened Levels Rewards:

Recommended Phase 2:

  • Ursa:Luna - Superpower - When checked, all powers except Multi-Level will consume 5 powers but give you 10x the benefit!
  • Peloponnesian War - Seeing Circles - Better Draft Indicator: The circle that shows you where drafts are is now bigger and appears more often!
  • The Siege of Feldmere - Couch Potato - The bonus armies received from watching ads is permanently increased by 50%!
  • Copper Creek Castle - The Legend - Legendary Triple Strike Artifact


Recommended Phase 3:

  • Far Land - Rock Candy - You received a mine doubler! One of your mines will now permanently give twice as much ore. You can switch which mine is doubled at any time.
  • Old Town - Super Armies - The Supercamp now gives 10% more armies permanently!
  • Scandinavia and the Nordic Countries - 4th Boy - You’ve received an permanent 4th artifact slot for active artifacts!
  • Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire - Gladiator - All Arena awards are permanently increased by 20%!
  • China - Molification - All artifact dig times are permanently reduced by 10%!


Recommended Phase 4:

  • Triskelion - Protection - Attacks against you in battles are permanently decreased by 10%!
  • Europe Huge - Updater - You received the Update All button, which can update all of your multi-levels at once instead of having to open each one!



AP Adjustments

  • Ascend costs 100 AP
  • Skip level unlock cost went from 1,003 to 600 AP
  • Ore Production AP unlock costs were adjusted
  • Levels now give slightly less AP ~1%



New Multi-Level

Peloponnesian War now has a Multi-Level Powerup.
(Located at Rhodes)



New Advancements

Phase 3
Mortar Damage
Unlock 1403 AP
Increases damage done by mortars by 10%. Upgradeable to 100% in 5% increments.

Phase 4
Increased Clan Request Sizes
Unlock 1600 AP
Increases the amount of money or armies you can request from your clanmates by 20%. Upgradeable to 300% in 10% increments

Auto-Mortar
Unlock 2601 AP
Automatically loads and fires mortars at the best targets. Runs once every 120 minutes. Upgradeable to 10 minutes in -10 increments. Can be enabled or disabled at will.


New Coin Wheel Prizes:

1+ Free Cache
2+ Supercharge Army
4+ Supercharge Mine
5+ Time Warp
7+ Fog Buster
10+ Inspire Mercenaries

50 and 1000 stay the same


Updated Ad Bonus
With the Ad Bonuses, you can only have one bonus active at a time, but you get to choose which one between:
  • Army Production
  • Ore Production
  • Smelter Speed
  • Crafter Speed

    2%-Common
    4%-Uncommon
    8%-Rare
    10%-Epic (Used to be 16%)
    ??%-Legendary (Used to be 32%)

    Mercenary Camps
    Base Mercenaries are now 15% of total armies needed rather than 20%

    Markets
    This update changes the way markets work. Instead of selling items at a fixed cost, they now start off cheap and get more expensive the more you buy from them.

    A question I have:

    If you spent AP on an infrequently used AP Upgrade that now has it's cost reduced, do you get that AP back? Or do you need to reset AP? Or is it lost forever?

    Asking for a friend...

    Answer: If you reset your AP, you get the AP you spent back, not the new cost.

    You dont get refunds ever, unless you lost AP due to a bug (i had that once, but Fizzer gave me some free AP, which was very kind of him).

    – Idle: Coins can now be used to immediately finish a dig or to immediately refresh a cooling down artifact.

    WZI just become a lot more P2W, holy s**t!! :(
    I hope this will at least be disabled during battles...

    – Idle: The ad-watch bonus now has options for ore production, smelter speed, or crafter speed increases.

    Can you watch 1 ad to get all the boosts, each boost has its own ad, or you get 1 ad and need to pick which to boost?

    – Idle: The level list now is a winding path instead of a vertical list.
    Ugh, stop making things complicated for the sake of looking fancy, gimme back my list....

    – Idle: The game now keeps track of your fastest time-to-completion of each level and shows you these numbers on the Level Stats dialog.
    – Idle: Recipe stats now shows how many of the item you currently have.
    – Idle: Army stats now breaks out drafted armies and shows you how many of them came from each portion of the drafting system’s internal calculation.


    Looks like some of the requested stats have finally been added!!

    – Idle: Adjusted tech values. The later techs were made much more powerful.

    Maybe they will now be worth it for other reasons than getting the Get all Techs advancments,

    – Idle: Modifiers that increase the speed of smelters/crafters no longer need to be equipped for the entire duration of the smelt/craft. They now speed it up while equipped and it reverts to the normal speed when unequipped.

    My epic Crafter Speed is useful again! 🎉🥳

    – Classic: When a patterened color is used, like Blue Diagonals, the orders panel in the top right now shows this pattern.
    – Classic: Updated the built-in Small Earth template to match the popular Quickmatch settings.
    – Classic: Removed the “Featured Maps” category when browsing maps, since it hadn’t been updated in over ten years.
    – Classic: Maximum boot time for real-time games is now 15 minutes.


    Amazing that premium colors now will properly work. I wonder if it also changed the color name in the API now?

    – Unity: Added url support for map of the weeks, map previews, and forum links with offsets.
    Does this mean we can finally open forums on the last page in the app when opening them from global chat?!?


    – Idle: Changed the way ascension works. Instead of requiring you to defeat every level, you now only have to defeat the last level in order to qualify for ascension. This gives skip level powers and advancements more of a purpose. Ascending also now costs 100 AP.

    This flipping sucks, I'm already lacking AP 😡

    Mortars is probably not going to change anything, since the algorithm will just increase the value on neighboring terr to compensate for the mortar.

    Hardened levels sound like a pain, I hope they are not required for levels and other stuff....

    Would there be a tax on Clan Gifting, or can we just send armies back and forth?
    And how much can you request? Is that in relation or can I just send 5B armies to a player that just started out so he can finish his level in a few seconds?

    Level speed bonuses are all for selling more powers I'm afraid...
    Luckily they will come naturally over time with enough ascensions.

    I'm glad I have had too much of a market-buy based strategy, but this update sucks for those who do.

    I'm afraid this is just marketing from Fizzer, and that just like the challenges they require so much investment to complete they will not be worth it.

    I hope to be proven wrong on that...

    LOL JK ... but frighteningly also true-ish!

    – Idle: A few infrequently purchased advancements have had their unlock cost reduced slightly.

    Anyone know which Advancements were modified? I did an eyeball check and saw nothing noticeably different. The ones I've already maxed out obviously I have no visibility to as it just shows "(Maxed)".

    Are there any restrictions on the frequency of giftings?

    If not, then the clan gifting feature could be abused. Let one player stay on Europe Huge with maxed army camps, mines, crafters. This player can fulfill the requests of an entire clan.

    Man, I had just started the last level of my third playthrough an hour before this dropped. Probably going to drop it since I don't need it to ascend anymore (I always do Triskelion last). Just need to decide if I'm going to hit hardened levels now or wait until after ascending so I get ore bonuses and some more AP first...

    Looks like all the ore bonuses will be easy to hit for anyone on their second playthrough, which is nice.

    And the names of the maps are gone!!! On the landing page you can't distinguish the levels by name only be picture. Okay, I just saw, clicking them reveals the names, how inconvenient. The single-player campaign shows the map names on mouse-hover, that's not perfect but definitely better.
    Then, the current played level isn't highlighted: finished levels are yellow, hardened are red, everything else (including the active level) is gray. But no "this is the active level" marker (anymore). And levels that are locked (not unlocked by skip level) aren'T even clickable.

    And, have you noticed that the "beta" is gone? Apparently, this is meant to be the first regular version of the idle mode.
